XYZ Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Nissan SKYLINE R35 GTR 4WD (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2007-2026

The R35 GT-R left the factory with Bilstein-sourced DampTronic electronic dampers – an adaptive system that reads lateral acceleration, steering input, and vehicle speed to adjust compression and rebound continuously. On the road, it’s seamless. In a drift competition, it’s a barrier: fit standard aftermarket coilovers without addressing it and you’re left with ECU fault codes, potential interference with the ATTESA E-TS torque-split behaviour, and a suspension that doesn’t know what it’s doing.

XYZ Racing’s Drift Spec coilover for the R35 GT-R includes the electronic damping cancellation kit as part of the package – the hardware that puts the DampTronic ECU to sleep cleanly so the new dampers run without conflict. It’s the difference between a coilover that merely fits and one that actually works in a car with this level of electronic integration.

What this coilover does for your 2007-2026 Nissan SKYLINE R35 GTR 4WD

The R35’s weight – somewhere north of 1,700kg depending on options – means body stability in sustained high-angle slides is a real engineering challenge, not an abstract one. The Drift Spec’s geometry is built to stabilise the chassis through high-speed turning and maintain consistent body control at the kind of angles where a road-oriented setup would actively work against the driver. Lowering the ride height and setting bump stroke specifically for drift conditions changes the feedback loop: the car settles faster, holds its attitude more predictably, and gives the driver a meaningful connection to what the rear axle is doing mid-transition.

About the Drift Spec coilover

The Drift Spec designation is XYZ Racing’s competition-oriented drift-specific setup, developed to address the demands of competitive drifting rather than fast-road or track-day use. The design brief is vehicle body stabilisation in high-speed directional changes, and the spring and damper specification reflects that: ride height is set lower than a road-biased kit, bump stroke is tuned for the extended angles and sustained drift phases typical of competitive use, and the overall setup is oriented toward making precise angle control achievable rather than maximising outright grip. For the R35 application specifically, the kit ships with the electronic damping cancellation hardware needed to run these units cleanly in a car that came from the factory expecting active damper control.

Fitment for the Nissan SKYLINE R35 GTR 4WD (2007-2026)

This kit covers the Nissan SKYLINE R35 GTR 4WD across the full production run from 2007 to 2026 under chassis code NI47-C. The electronic damping cancellation hardware is included for the factory DampTronic system – if the car has had prior suspension modifications, confirm the OEM electronic damper setup is still in place before ordering.

The R35’s electronic damper system is handled – build yours below.

This suspension is designed for Drift race especially. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowing the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.
