XYZ Racing Tarmac Rally Coilovers — Maserati GRAN TURISMO 2007-2026

The Maserati GranTurismo carries its 4.2 and 4.7-litre Ferrari-derived V8 well forward of the front axle, and that mass is what defines how the car handles on a back road or a circuit. Stock, the GT rides with a softness that suits the grand-tourer brief but blunts the chassis the moment you ask it to change direction with intent. The XYZ Racing Tarmac Rally coilover is built to wake that chassis up without losing the long-distance composure the GranTurismo was designed around.

Tarmac Rally is the spec to choose when the use case is sealed-surface stage work, fast B-road driving, and occasional track days where the surface is unpredictable. The damper valving and spring rates sit between the road-biased Super Sport and the stiffer Circuit Master, giving the front-heavy MS02 platform the body control it has always deserved.

What this coilover does for your 2007-2026 Maserati GRAN TURISMO

Lower the GranTurismo’s centre of gravity and the long bonnet starts to behave: turn-in sharpens, the front axle commits earlier, and the rear stops feeling like it is being dragged into the corner by inertia. Tarmac Rally damping holds the nose flat under trail-braking, which is exactly where the standard car gives up and washes wide. Adjustable height lets you set the car to a sensible road ride or drop it for circuit work without compromising suspension travel. The 30-way damping adjustment means one set of coilovers covers a Sunday drive through the Cotswolds and a Donington trackday on the same weekend, with a turn of the dial between the two. Camber-adjustable top mounts (where fitted) let you chase tyre wear on a chassis that, stock, eats outer shoulders.

About the Tarmac Rally coilover

Tarmac Rally is XYZ Racing’s sealed-surface motorsport spec, sitting alongside the Gravel Rally kit in the rally-derived end of the catalogue. Construction is a 30-way adjustable monotube damper running on linear springs, with progressive bump stops to protect the damper rod over kerbs and surface changes. Spring rates are set for high-grip tarmac rather than the loose surfaces the Gravel Rally kit is valved for. The damper bodies are pillowball-mounted top and bottom on applications where the OE geometry allows it, removing rubber compliance from the suspension path. Ride-height adjustment is via spring perch on the lower seat, separating preload from ride height so corner-weighting on the GranTurismo’s mass is straightforward. Finish is XYZ’s standard anodised silver bodies with hard-anodised threaded sleeves to resist seizing on a car that will see UK winter salt.

Fitment for the Maserati GRAN TURISMO (2007-2026)

This kit is built for the MS02-chassis Maserati GranTurismo across the full 2007-2026 production span, covering both the original 4.2-litre and the later 4.7-litre Sport, S, MC and MC Stradale variants. Fitment is direct-replacement using OE mounting points front and rear. Confirm your specific variant against the configurator below before ordering, as some MC-spec cars left the factory with revised top-mount geometry.
