XYZ Racing Circuit Master Coilovers — Maserati GRAN TURISMO 2007-2026

The Maserati GranTurismo is a long-wheelbase, front-engined GT with a Ferrari-derived 4.2 or 4.7 V8 sat behind the front axle line and a transaxle at the rear. On the stock dampers it rides beautifully on a motorway and then runs out of body control the moment you ask it to corner with intent – the nose dives, the rear squats, and the car telegraphs its 1,880kg kerb weight. The Circuit Master is the XYZ Racing answer when an owner wants to keep the GT comfort but stop the chassis floating over its own mass.

This is the circuit-biased coilover in the XYZ Racing range, so the brief here is firmer rebound control and a lower, flatter platform rather than a stripped-out race spring rate. For a GranTurismo used on B-roads, fast touring and the occasional track day at Donington or Goodwood, that is the right side of the line.

What this coilover does for your 2007-2026 Maserati GRAN TURISMO

Drop the GranTurismo onto a Circuit Master kit and the first thing you feel is the nose staying tied down under braking into a third-gear corner – the dive that masks turn-in on the standard car is gone, and the front axle starts loading progressively instead of all at once. Mid-corner the car sits flat, which means the outside tyre stays planted and the inside one stops going light over kerbing. The 36-way damping adjustment lets you separate motorway compliance from circuit firmness, so the car can still cover 300 miles on a Friday and run a sighting lap on a Saturday without an alignment compromise. Ride height is fully adjustable, which matters on a long, low GT where stance and bumpstop clearance need to be set carefully around the front splitter and rear valance. Spring preload and damping are independently tuned, so corner balancing for a left-foot-braking driver versus a passenger-loaded weekend is a five-minute job in the garage.

About the Circuit Master coilover

Circuit Master is XYZ Racing’s track-focused damper built around a monotube body with a separate damping circuit, 36 clicks of combined bump and rebound adjustment, and pillowball top mounts on the strut corners for sharper steering response. Spring rates are stepped up from the road-focused Super Sport and Street Advanced models, with the platform set up to tolerate sustained high-speed dampening cycles without fading. The shock body is hard-anodised against corrosion, the springs are powder-coated, and the threaded collars run on a PTFE-impregnated surface so height adjustment stays usable years into UK winters. Camber adjustment is built into the front pillowball mount on applications where the OEM geometry allows it, which on a nose-heavy GT like the GranTurismo is where you actually want to claw back a bit of negative front camber to lean on the outside front tyre. Everything is rebuildable and re-valvable through XYZ’s service network rather than thrown away at the end of its first life.
