XYZ Racing Circuit Master Coilovers — Honda ACCORD CA1/2/3/4/5/6 1985-1989

The third-generation Accord arrived with double-wishbones at all four corners – a layout Honda lifted straight out of its Formula 2 thinking, and the reason these CA-chassis cars still turn up at hillclimbs and time-attack paddocks four decades on. The Circuit Master coilover is built for owners running a CA1, CA2, CA3, CA4, CA5 or CA6 hard enough that the factory geometry’s potential is the only thing holding the lap time together.

This is not a fast-road kit pressed into circuit duty. The Circuit Master sits at the top of the XYZ Racing range alongside the brand’s Racing Spec, Drift Spec and Tarmac Rally hardware, and it is the kit you specify when the car spends real time at full attack.

What this coilover does for your 1985-1989 Honda Accord

On a 35-year-old chassis the original strut behaviour is long gone, and a generic lowering kit will only mask the problem. The Circuit Master gives the CA Accord a fresh damper curve that can absorb a kerb strike on corner exit without unsettling the rear, then return to a flat platform before the next braking zone. The 9720-way adjustment matrix, set through three separate knobs, means compression and rebound can be tuned independently of ride height, so you can dial out front-end push on long fast corners without having to compromise the car’s behaviour over a rumble strip. The result is a CA Accord that holds its attitude through a long sweeper instead of bleeding speed to scrub, and that recovers quickly enough between corners that you can use the throttle earlier.

About the Circuit Master coilover

The Circuit Master is XYZ Racing’s circuit flagship, tested by the brand’s race teams at international tracks over long development cycles and run on chassis prepared for Racing Spec, Drift Spec and Tarmac Rally programmes. The headline figure is 9720 combinations of damping behaviour, accessed through three discrete adjustment knobs rather than the usual single click-wheel – one of the few road-legal coilover platforms that lets you separate high-speed from low-speed damper response on a chassis this old. Construction is built around small-orifice damper passages, which is what gives the kit its bandwidth at speed; the trade-off is a small acoustic signature over large bumps as oil moves through the restricted passage, which XYZ documents openly as a characteristic of the circuit tune rather than a fault. It is built for circuit surfaces, where bump compliance is not the priority – lap-time consistency is.

Fitment for the Honda Accord (1985-1989)

This kit is matched to the CA1, CA2, CA3, CA4, CA5 and CA6 third-generation Accord chassis, covering the saloon, hatchback and Aerodeck variants sold across the 1985 to 1989 production run. Chassis code reference is HN01. Confirm your exact variant before ordering using the configurator below.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
