XYZ Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Ferrari 458 / 458 Spider (without hydraulic lift system) (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2010-2015

The Ferrari 458’s mid-rear weight bias and that flat-plane 4.5-litre V8 sitting behind the cabin make it a fascinating drift platform – one that rewards a chassis tuned for sustained, high-speed angle rather than the snap-and-grab antics of a lighter Japanese coupé. The XYZ Racing Drift Spec coilover for the FE05-C 458 is built around that exact brief: stabilise the body through the long sweepers of a drift course, let the rear step out predictably, and hold the line once the front bites.

This kit is the cancellation-equipped variant for cars not specified with Ferrari’s hydraulic lift system, and it includes the bypass module for the factory electronic damping so the ECU sits quietly while you take full mechanical control of the chassis.

What this coilover does for your 2010-2015 Ferrari 458

Drop the ride height with the bump stroke set correctly and the 458 starts behaving the way a competitive drift car needs to: the front loads cleanly on turn-in, the rear unsticks on a predictable throttle input, and the body stays composed through transitions instead of pitching about on factory-soft rates. The cancellation kit for the electronic damping is the load-bearing part here – without it, the OEM ECU fights every adjustment you make at the strut. With it bypassed, the damper does what you set it to do.

Expect a flatter cornering attitude, sharper steering response from the reduced roll, and the kind of mid-corner stability that lets you commit to angle at speed instead of catching slides reactively. Rear grip transitions become a function of throttle and steering input rather than the chassis pogoing on understruts that were never meant for sideways work.

About the Drift Spec coilover

The Drift Spec is XYZ Racing’s purpose-engineered drift kit, designed specifically around the demands of competitive drifting rather than retuned from a circuit platform. The construction prioritises body stabilisation during high-speed cornering – the brief XYZ themselves describe as making "a perfect angle" possible at speed, where the suspension has to resist body roll hard enough to let the driver commit to extreme slip angles without the chassis loading unpredictably.

Ride-height adjustment is independent of preload, which matters on a Ferrari where bump stroke needs careful management to keep the geometry sensible at lowered ride heights. The cancellation kit for the 458’s electronic damping is integrated into the package, replacing the factory adaptive logic with a fully mechanical damper response that you set once and trust to behave.

Fitment for the Ferrari 458 (2010-2015)

This kit fits the FE05-C chassis 458 and 458 Spider produced 2010 to 2015, specifically the variant supplied without the factory hydraulic nose lift system. It includes the cancellation module required to bypass the electronic damping control, so the OEM dash will not throw suspension faults once installed.

This suspension is designed for Drift race especially. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowing the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.

Top mounts included with your kit

Every XYZ Racing coilover kit ships with the upper mounts listed below for your exact chassis — no extra parts to source.

  • Aluminium top mountAluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
