XYZ Racing Top Sport Coilovers — BMW X5 F15 4WD (NON AIR STRUT) (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2013-2018

The F15 X5 was never designed to be flung at apex kerbs. It is a 2.1-tonne SUV with a high centre of gravity, a torque-on-demand xDrive system that loads the outside front wheel hard mid-corner, and – on the non-air-strut variant – a steel-sprung chassis that BMW tuned for cruising comfort rather than circuit precision. The XYZ Racing Top Sport coilover for the Bmw X5 F15 4WD (2013-2018) is the kit that turns that brief on its head.

Built for owners running occasional track days on a 4WD F15 that also has to do the school run on Monday, this is the Top Sport spec – the same baseline philosophy XYZ uses for cars that need to leave the paddock under their own power. Crucially, this kit ships with the cancellation module for the factory electronic damping system, so the X5’s onboard ECU sees the new struts as valid hardware and won’t throw a chassis fault.

What this coilover does for your 2013-2018 Bmw X5

Drop a heavy F15 onto springs roughly 2kg/mm stiffer than the OE rate and the first thing you notice is how much earlier the chassis settles after a mid-corner ridge or an expansion joint. Body roll on turn-in collapses, the outside-front tyre stops scrubbing under load, and the X5 starts pointing where you steer it rather than leaning into the corner first and turning second. The increased damping force – XYZ quote 30 to 50 percent over a street-comfort setting – keeps the sprung mass under control over kerbs and broken Tarmac, and the height-adjustable lower mount lets you drop the ride height to reduce the SUV’s biggest enemy: roll moment. Pavement impacts that previously sent a shudder through the cabin get absorbed cleanly, and traction at the contact patch climbs because the tyre is being pressed into the road rather than skipping off it.

About the Top Sport coilover

The Top Sport sits in XYZ’s range as the kit aimed at drivers who use one car for two jobs – aggressive road driving and proper track days – rather than dedicated circuit cars or pure street-stance builds. Spring rates are stepped up roughly 2kg/mm from the street-comfort baseline, and damping force is wound up by 30 to 50 percent so the platform can absorb the energy of a big compression without spitting the body off the bump stops. The settings carry over directly from XYZ’s racing programme rather than being arrived at on a dyno in isolation. Every kit is height-adjustable at the lower mount so corner balance and ride height are set independently, and the cancellation module shipped with this 4WD non-air-strut variant disables BMW’s electronic damping signal cleanly at the harness so the dash and chassis controllers stay quiet.

Fitment for the Bmw X5 (2013-2018)

This kit is specific to the F15 X5 in 4WD xDrive form fitted with the steel-sprung non-air-strut suspension – chassis code BM69-1-2-C, model years 2013 through 2018. The included cancellation kit is essential and addresses the factory electronic damping system, so the car will run without dash warnings on the upgraded struts. If your F15 is fitted with the optional air suspension package, this is not the right SKU.
