XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow Coilovers — BMW X4 G02 4WD 2018-2026

The X4 G02’s raised ride height and xDrive torque split were never designed with loose-surface stage work in mind, but the platform’s all-wheel-drive layout gives it more potential over gravel and snow than its coupe-SUV silhouette suggests. XYZ Racing’s Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover replaces the factory dampers with a longer-travel, rally-spec unit built to keep the X4 planted once the surface underneath it stops behaving like tarmac.

Where a standard circuit coilover is tuned around a flat, grippy surface, this kit runs the opposite brief: more suspension travel front and rear to absorb compressions and crests without bottoming out, and a damper built to survive hours of repeated hits rather than one hot lap. For an X4 G02 owner building toward rallycross or snow-stage events, that’s the difference between a car that survives the first stage and one still composed on the last.

What this coilover does for your 2018-2026 Bmw X4 G02 4WD

On an X4 that carries more weight, higher up, than the 3-series platform it’s derived from, the extra front and rear travel keeps the tyres in contact with the ground through compressions that would pack out a standard-length damper. The enlarged oil and nitrogen gas capacity is there for exactly this kind of use: repeated hard hits over a stage or a snow-packed loop raise oil temperature fast, and a bigger volume of both keeps the damping curve consistent run after run instead of fading as the session goes on. The three external adjustment knobs let you retune compression and rebound between a gravel stage and a snow surface without stripping the dampers down, which matters given how differently the X4’s xDrive system loads the front and rear axles depending on available grip.

About the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover

XYZ Racing built the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow line for rally and rallycross use rather than adapting a tarmac coilover for rough ground. Both the front and rear units run noticeably more travel than the company’s circuit-focused ranges, giving the suspension a bigger buffer before it runs out of stroke over compressions, crests and rutted snow. The reservoir also carries a larger volume of damping oil and nitrogen gas than a standard unit, which matters over a full stage: more fluid and gas mass means the damper resists the heat build-up that comes from sustained hard hits, so the response doesn’t drift as the run continues. Each corner gets three external adjustment knobs, and the smaller internal oil passages that make that fine adjustment possible can produce a faint noise over sharp bumps – that’s oil moving through a narrow orifice, not a fault, and it’s a known characteristic of a damper built for exactly this kind of abuse.

Fitment for the Bmw X4 G02 4WD (2018-2026)

This kit is built specifically for the G02-generation X4, chassis code BM116, covering the full 2018 to 2026 production run. It’s matched to the xDrive all-wheel-drive layout fitted across the range, so confirm your car is the 4WD variant before ordering.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. With longer travel for both front and rear, it increases bigger buffer distance to keep the car stable. The most advantages of this product is to extend the amount of suspension oil and nitrogen gas which can increase the stability of the shocks and prevent the shock oil temperature too high from being exhausted after long-term use.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.

  • Hardened rubber top mountHardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.

Rear

  • Aluminium top mountAluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
