XYZ Racing Street Advanced Coilovers — BMW 6 SERIES F06 4WD (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2011-2018

The F06 Gran Coupé is a 1.9-tonne four-door grand tourer riding on xDrive, and BMW’s factory Adaptive Drive on the 640i and 650i models was never tuned for anyone who genuinely wanted to lean on the chassis. The standard dampers go soft over a long B-road and the body float on turn-in is the giveaway. The XYZ Racing Street Advanced coilover replaces that compromise wholesale, and the bundled electronic damping cancellation kit means no dashboard fault codes once the OE struts come off.

This is the kit for an owner who wants the Gran Coupé to feel like the long, low coupé it looks like – flatter through fast direction changes, calmer at motorway speed, and adjustable enough to drop the nose for stance without killing the ride on a UK road surface.

What this coilover kit does for your 2011-2018 Bmw 6 Series F06 4WD (cancellation Kit For Electronic Damping)

Body control is where you feel it first. The F06’s mass sits high and long, and switching to a monotube damper with 720 discrete settings means you can wind out the wallow without making the rear axle skip over expansion joints. On xDrive cars the front end carries the driveshafts as well as the engine, so dialling the fronts a touch firmer than the rears settles the nose under trail braking without provoking understeer on the way out.

Ride height is independently set from spring preload, so you can lower the car enough to close the factory arch gap without coil-binding the spring or running out of bump travel. The cancellation kit ships with the coilovers, which means the EDC warning stays off the dash and the iDrive doesn’t nag you on every cold start.

About the Street Advanced coilover

Street Advanced is XYZ Racing’s most popular kit and the one the factory team has spent the longest developing. It’s built for road use and occasional track days rather than dedicated circuit work, with 720 damping adjustment positions on a single knob per corner – enough granularity to find a setting for a smooth motorway and a separate one for a B-road blast. The platform was refined through XYZ’s worldwide race programme before being adapted for street use, which is why the damper internals are closer to the firm’s circuit kits than to a typical lowering-spring-plus-shock package.

Construction is full-coilover with height adjustment separated from spring preload, so corner-weighting and ride-height changes don’t fight each other. Spring rates are matched to the chassis and the use case rather than carried over from a one-size catalogue. It is, in XYZ’s own phrasing, indispensable kit for an owner who actually wants to drive the car.

Fitment for the Bmw 6 Series F06 4WD (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) (2011-2018)

Chassis code BM86-C, covering the F06 Gran Coupé in xDrive (4WD) form from 2011 through to the end of production in 2018. The cancellation kit for the factory electronic damping is included, so this is the correct part number for cars originally specified with EDC – do not order the standard F06 4WD kit if your car has the adaptive dampers from new.
