XYZ Racing Circuit Master Coilovers — BMW 5 SERIES E60 M5 (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2005-2010

The E60 M5 is a 1,900kg saloon with a 5.0-litre V10 over the front axle and a seven-speed SMG dumping torque to the rear – which means the factory EDC dampers spend their life trying to mask weight transfer rather than control it. This Circuit Master kit deletes that compromise entirely. The included electronic damping cancellation harness tells the car’s ECU the original EDC struts are still present, so there are no dash warnings and no limp behaviour while the chassis sits on a fully mechanical, track-grade coilover.

Pulling the EDC system out of a circuit-driven M5 is the upgrade owners arrive at eventually. The Circuit Master is the version of XYZ’s range engineered for that decision – sustained circuit lap-time work, not boulevard cruising.

What this coilover does for your 2005-2010 Bmw 5 Series E60 M5 (cancellation Kit For Electronic Damping)

On a heavy front-engined V10 saloon, the gain you feel first is platform stability under braking from three figures – the nose stops diving in a way that lets you carry the brake pedal deeper into the apex. Roll resistance through medium-speed corners climbs noticeably, which on the E60 M5 translates to the rear axle staying neutral instead of going light over kerbs. The 9720 individual damping combinations available across the three adjustment knobs mean compression and rebound can be tuned independently for the front V10 weight and the lighter rear, so the car rotates rather than ploughing. Ride height drop is set to suit the car’s geometry rather than dropped on bumpstops, protecting the steering rack and CV angles.

About the Circuit Master coilover

Circuit Master sits at the top of XYZ Racing’s competition tier, alongside their Racing Spec, Drift Spec and Tarmac Rally builds. It is the unit XYZ’s own race teams run on international circuits, and the damper internals have been signed off over long-duration testing rather than a single shakedown. The three-knob adjustment layout – high-speed compression, low-speed compression and rebound, in effect – is what generates the 9720-combination range; this is genuine independent damping control, not a bundled "stiffness" dial. There is a known characteristic worth flagging: the small oil-passage design used for circuit damping precision can produce a faint hydraulic note when driven over large road bumps. It is normal, it is documented by XYZ, and it is the trade-off for the damping resolution the kit is built to deliver on smooth tarmac.

Fitment for the Bmw 5 Series E60 M5 (cancellation Kit For Electronic Damping) (2005-2010)

This kit is built for the E60 M5 chassis (BM42-C reference) covering the 2005 through 2010 production run. The cancellation harness is the critical detail – it is what allows the V10 M5 to ditch its electronic damping system without triggering EDC fault codes on the dashboard. Confirm your car is the full M5 variant, not a 545i/550i, before ordering.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
