XYZ Racing Drag Racing Coilovers — BMW 4 SERIES G26 (2WD/4WD) 4/6CYL 2020-2026

The G26 Gran Coupe is the heaviest, longest-wheelbase 4 Series BMW has built, and that mass works against you the instant you drop the clutch or step off the line. On the xDrive cars especially, getting the front axle to bite without unloading the rear under hard acceleration is the real fight – not top-end grip, but the first half-second of the run.

XYZ Racing’s Drag Racing coilover is built around that specific problem. It’s a launch tool, not a cornering tool, and for a G26 running quarter-mile passes – whether the 420i’s four-cylinder B48 or the M440i’s six-cylinder B58 under the bonnet – that distinction changes how the car leaves the line.

What this coilover does for your 2020-2026 BMW 4 Series G26

Where a track-day coilover splits damping and spring rate evenly front-to-rear, this setup is tuned to shift weight rearward under launch, loading the driven axle at the exact moment the tyre needs compression to hook up. On a 2WD G26, that means more contact patch on the rear tyres as torque comes in; on a 4WD xDrive car, it changes how quickly the front axle can take load without the nose rising and scrubbing off drive. The practical result is less wheel idle time – the gap between throttle input and the tyre actually gripping – which on a 0-400m pass is where most of the run is won or lost. You’ll also notice more stability at speed once the car’s settled into the run, because the platform isn’t fighting weight transfer the way a standard suspension does.

About the Drag Racing coilover

XYZ Racing designed this range specifically for 0-400m drag work across FWD, RWD and 4WD platforms, which covers the full G26 line from 420i to xDrive M440i. Rather than a fixed, even weight split, the kit lets you bias front-to-rear loading so the driven wheels take on more compression the instant power goes down – the core mechanism behind consistent, repeatable launches instead of a car that bogs or spins. That weight-transfer behaviour is engineered to cut down idle time at the tyre contact patch, the delay between wheelspin and actual traction, and to hold the car stable once it’s moving at speed rather than letting the chassis wander under load. It’s a purpose-specific spring and damper package, not a general-purpose performance coilover repurposed for the strip.

Fitment for the Bmw 4 Series G26 (2WD/4WD) 4/6CYL (2020-2026)

This kit is built for the BMW 4 Series G26, chassis code BM122, covering both rear-drive and xDrive (4WD) variants across the four-cylinder and six-cylinder engine range from 2020 to 2026. Confirm your car’s drivetrain (2WD or 4WD) and engine configuration against your V5 before ordering, as the two layouts use different mounting hardware.

What buyers also search for

  • BMW 4 Series G26 drag coilovers for xDrive launch traction
  • BM122 suspension setup for 0-400m quarter-mile passes
  • BMW G26 weight transfer coilovers for B48 and B58 engines
  • 4 Series Gran Coupe strip suspension for FWD, RWD and 4WD setups
  • BMW G26 launch control suspension for reduced wheelspin off the line

Pick your spec for the 2WD or 4WD G26 below and configure the kit to your engine and drivetrain.

The coilovers are specially designed for 0~400 drag racing such as FWD, RWD or 4WD models. The setting allows vehicle to change the front and rear weight according to the transmission wheel in instant driving, and force the transmission tire having greater compression, which can reduce the idle time of wheel and improve the stability of the vehicle under high speed.
