XYZ Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — BMW 4 SERIES F82 M4 (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2014-2020

The F82 M4’s S55 twin-turbo straight-six puts 425bhp through a short-wheelbase rear-drive chassis that was never really sold as a drift weapon – but the geometry, the locking active diff, and the sheer torque delivery make it one of the more interesting modern platforms to slide. The factory Adaptive M Suspension fights you the moment you start asking the chassis questions outside its programmed envelope, which is exactly the problem this kit solves.

This is the Drift Spec coilover for the F82 M4 with the cancellation harness included, so the EDC dash light stays off and the car’s ECU stops looking for damper signals that are no longer there. It is built for one job: holding a controlled angle at speed without the rear axle going light or the front losing bite at turn-in.

What this coilover does for your 2014-2020 Bmw 4 Series F82 M4 (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping)

Drop the ride height with the correct amount of bump stroke retained and the F82 starts behaving the way a drift chassis should – planted on initiation, predictable through transition, and recoverable when you overcook the entry. The Drift Spec damping curve is tuned to keep the outside-rear loaded under high-speed cornering, which is where the standard M4 tends to step out unhelpfully rather than rotate cleanly. Front-end response sharpens noticeably because you are no longer waiting for the adaptive system to decide what mode it wants to be in. The cancellation kit is the part that makes this a clean install rather than a workshop visit and an iDrive fault code every time you start the car. Spring rates and damping work together to give you the angle you ask for and hold it, not the half-angle the factory ESP-shadow chassis wants you to have.

About the Drift Spec coilover

The Drift Spec is engineered specifically for competitive drifting rather than adapted from a circuit kit. The damper design is targeted at body stabilisation through high-speed cornering, which is the bit that lets you carry an aggressive angle through a long sweeper without the rear washing out or the inside front unloading. After lowering ride height with the correct bump stroke preserved, the controllability of the slide is the spec XYZ are chasing – throttle modulation translates into yaw rate in a way the standard suspension simply cannot manage. Construction follows the XYZ pattern of monotube damper bodies, hardened internals, and rebuildable hardware designed to survive repeated heat cycles from competitive use. Where a road or fast-road coilover prioritises compliance, this one prioritises predictability under load and the ability to take a kerb mid-slide without the damper losing its composure.

Fitment for the Bmw 4 Series F82 M4 (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) (2014-2020)

Chassis code BM92-C, covering F82 M4 coupes from 2014 to 2020 fitted with factory Adaptive M Suspension (EDC). The cancellation kit is bundled in this SKU – that is the harness that prevents the EDC fault from triggering once the original adaptive dampers are removed. If your M4 was ordered without EDC, you want the non-cancellation variant of this kit instead.

This suspension is designed for Drift race especially. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowing the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.
