XYZ Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — BMW 3 SERIES G20 (2WD/4WD) 4/6 CYL (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2018-2026

Competitive drifting asks a G20 3 Series to do something the factory chassis was never tuned for: hold a locked slide angle through weight transfer that would normally have the nose diving and the rear stepping out unpredictably. The Drift Spec coilover from XYZ Racing is built around that specific problem, using a body-stabilising spring and damper combination to keep the chassis settled through the high-speed turn-in that sets up a clean angle.

For the 2WD and 4WD G20, 4 and 6-cylinder variants alike, that stability matters most at the point where most drift cars lose it – mid-transition, under load, right as the car is asked to hold rather than correct. This kit also folds in the cancellation solution for the G20’s factory electronic damping control, so cars fitted with adaptive dampers from the factory run this coilover without EDC fault codes cluttering the dash.

What this coilover does for your 2018-2026 BMW 3 Series G20 (2WD/4WD)

Once the ride height is dropped to the correct working range with the right amount of bump stroke retained, the G20 holds its line through a slide instead of wallowing as weight shifts to the outside corner. That’s the core of what this kit targets: controllable, repeatable angle rather than a car that snaps or washes out under power. The near-even front/rear weight split BMW gave the G20 works in the car’s favour here – dial the corner-weighting in through the coilover’s ride-height adjustment and that balance translates into predictable rotation rather than a nose- or tail-heavy fight. On 4/6-cylinder cars pushing meaningful power to the rear, having a damper that keeps the body composed under sustained lateral load is what turns a scary slide into a controlled one.

About the Drift Spec coilover

XYZ Racing built the Drift Spec line specifically around competition drift use rather than adapting a track or fast-road coilover for the job. The valving and spring rate are set up to stabilise the vehicle body through sustained high-speed cornering, which is what lets a driver settle on and hold a clean angle instead of chasing the car through the turn. Ride height is adjustable through a proper working bump stroke range, and it’s that adjustment – set correctly, not just dropped as low as it’ll go – that XYZ Racing points to as the difference between a car that’s merely lowered and one that actually controls a drift. The result is a suspension platform built to keep the chassis composed as the car is repeatedly loaded and unloaded through slide after slide.

Fitment for the BMW 3 Series G20 (2018-2026)

This kit is built to chassis code BM106-C, covering the G20-generation 3 Series across 2WD and 4WD drivetrains and 4 and 6-cylinder engine variants for the 2018-2026 model years. The included cancellation kit addresses the factory electronic damping control fitted to G20 cars from the factory, so the switch to fixed XYZ Racing damping doesn’t leave the electronic suspension system throwing errors.

Spec your ride height and damping to match your car and your driving – configure yours below.

This suspension is designed for Drift race especially. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowing the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.
