XYZ Racing Racing Spec Coilovers — BMW 3 SERIES F80 M3 (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2014-2018

The F80 M3’s standard adaptive M suspension was tuned around a brief that runs from Autobahn to school run, and that brief leaves a lot on the table once you start lapping seriously. The S55’s 425bhp arriving on a twin-scroll wave, the rear axle hunting under throttle out of a long third-gear corner, the front geometry that wants more camber than the factory tops will give you – none of that is what the OE EDC was built to manage. The Racing Spec is the answer when you’ve stopped pretending the car is dual-purpose.

This is the circuit-only end of the XYZ Racing range, and the cancellation kit is the part that actually makes it usable on an F80 – it tells the DSC and EDC modules to stop throwing fault codes the moment you delete the adaptive struts. Pair that with a damper developed inside live WTCC programmes and you have a coilover that belongs on an F80 booked into Cadwell, Donington or the Nordschleife, not one being asked to commute.

What this coilover does for your 2014-2018 Bmw 3 SERIES F80 M3

Body control on an F80 changes character completely once the Racing Spec is fitted. The nose stops diving into Druids, the rear stops squatting and pushing wide as the S55 lights up second gear, and the platform sits flat enough through fast direction changes that you can actually feel the diff working rather than fighting the chassis. The cancellation kit removes the EDC error so the dash stays clean and traction control behaves predictably under braking. Spring and damper settings have been arrived at through WTCC participation, so the baseline tune is a circuit tune rather than a road tune softened for the track. You get the option to run far more aggressive camber up front, and the ride height drops far enough to put the roll centre back where the geometry wants it.

About the Racing Spec coilover

Racing Spec is the series XYZ Racing builds specifically for track race work, with settings validated through direct participation in events including WTCC. Every component is selected for repeatable behaviour under sustained heat and load rather than for street comfort, which is why this kit lives at the sharp end of the catalogue. Where a customer is running factory-style racing builds or A-class spec, XYZ will produce custom-made shock absorbers tuned to the exact upgrades on the car and the specific circuits it will run – you supply the full list of modifications and the venue, and the dampers are built around that brief. That is unusual at this price point and it is the reason serious privateers tend to spec Racing Spec over a generic two-way. On the F80, the cancellation kit is the bridge that lets all of this work without the OE electronics getting in the way.

Fitment for the Bmw 3 SERIES F80 M3 (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) (2014-2018)

Designed for the F80 M3 saloon, chassis code BM103-C, model years 2014 through 2018. This is the specific variant for cars fitted from the factory with Electronic Damper Control – the cancellation kit is included so the EDC and DSC modules accept the conversion without throwing dash faults.
