Caliper render for this kit:

The first-generation SRX sits on Cadillac’s Sigma platform, the same architecture that underpins the CTS, but here stretched to carry a taller body and, in V8 specification, the 4.6-litre Northstar up front. That combination of a genuinely driver-focused chassis with substantial SUV kerb weight means the factory braking hardware is working hard whenever you press on: long alpine descents, fast dual carriageways, or the kind of B-road pace the Sigma platform actively encourages. The XYZ Racing front big brake kit is a direct answer to that tension.
Stepping up to this configuration adds meaningful thermal headroom at the front axle, the point where the SRX’s mass and nose-weighting conspire against the stock components under sustained hard use. As a matched pair of front calipers and discs, with three pad compound grades, the same kit serves a V6 SRX on a fast morning commute as effectively as a V8 car running back-to-back hard stops.
What this brake kit does for your 2004-2009 Cadillac SRX
The SRX’s considerable front-axle loading during hard braking places consistent thermal demand on disc and pad surfaces, a demand that increases sharply when the Northstar V8’s performance envelope is used freely. Larger two-piece floating discs extend the fade threshold, preserving pedal feel and modulation confidence through repeated deceleration events rather than going wooden under sustained heat, and the floating mount lets the disc expand under temperature without distorting. Braided stainless lines keep the pedal firm as fluid warms. The Street compound improves initial bite over the factory setup without altering the character of daily driving and stays quiet and low-dust; Sport raises heat tolerance and adds grab for faster roads; Racing is calibrated for conditions where the discs cycle through high temperatures repeatedly. The included caliper colours, Red, Yellow, Gold, Black and Anodized Black, ensure the installation reads as deliberate rather than merely functional through an open-spoke wheel.
About the XYZ Racing Hollow Brake Kit
XYZ Racing’s series pairs vented two-piece floating discs with multi-piston calipers. Removing mass from the disc’s non-structural sections reduces rotating and unsprung weight and improves thermal cycling efficiency: heat disperses more evenly across the disc face rather than accumulating in localised zones, which is the precursor to brake fade and soft pedal feel. The kit is a front-axle pair. The calipers are hollow-body as standard for low corner weight, with the Hollow Racing caliper available as an upgrade for serious track use, no dust cover, rated to 1000C and carrying a two-year warranty. Disc faces are drilled or slotted at the same price. Caliper finishes run from the no-cost painted palette through to Custom Color matching any Pantone for a set fee, plus premium polished-forged (Titanium, Polished Gold, Polished Silver) and candy (Candy Teal, Candy Blue, Candy Red, Candy Orange) options for restrained or expressive build aesthetics. Two-tone centre bells in five anodized colours, or titanium, are selectable at checkout. Pad compound selection directly sets the operating temperature window and initial bite, so choosing between Street, Sport and Racing reflects how the car is actually used.
Fitment for the Cadillac SRX (2004-2009)
This kit covers the first-generation Cadillac SRX across the full 2004 to 2009 production span, encompassing both V6 and V8 powertrain variants in rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations. Fitment is front-axle specific, addressing the heavier braking load that axle carries on the Sigma-based SRX regardless of drivetrain.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 286–380mm (front). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
