XYZ Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Volkswagen T-ROC 4WD φ55 (Rear Multi-Link Suspension) (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2017-2026

The T-ROC’s factory ride height was tuned for crossover practicality, not for the sustained slip-angle loading that competitive drifting puts through a 4WD chassis. XYZ Racing’s Drift Spec coilover kit lowers the car and reworks the bump stroke specifically to counter that, giving the rear multi-link suspension the geometry it needs to hold an angle instead of fighting to correct one.

Built for the φ55 4WD T-ROC across the full 2017-2026 run, this kit is the mechanical-damping route for cars specced with adaptive electronic dampers – it includes the cancellation kit needed to remove the factory electronic damping control loop from the equation entirely, so the coilover’s own damping curve governs body control instead of a computer working against you mid-slide.

What this coilover does for your 2017-2026 Volkswagen T-ROC

Lowering the T-ROC’s centre of gravity through adjustable ride height cuts the body roll a factory-height crossover carries into a committed drift entry, meaning less of the car’s mass shifts onto the outside front corner as you initiate. The independent bump stroke tuning keeps the rear multi-link arms working through a range matched to sustained opposite-lock loading rather than the occasional pothole compression they were designed around. On a 4WD platform like the T-ROC, how quickly weight transfers front to rear also affects how the centre differential apportions torque, so a lower, flatter chassis gives more consistent drive to the rear axle mid-slide. Removing the factory electronic damping loop, via the included cancellation kit, takes out the lag and self-correcting behaviour adaptive dampers introduce when they sense a slide developing – behaviour that works against a driver trying to hold an angle on purpose rather than catch an accidental one.

About the Drift Spec coilover

XYZ Racing built the Drift Spec range around one discipline: sustained, deliberate oversteer at speed. The spring and damping combination is set up to keep the body settled through the transition into a slide, where a road-biased kit would let the chassis pitch and roll enough to upset the angle the driver is trying to hold. Getting the ride height and bump stroke matched correctly is central to how the kit works – too little stroke and the suspension tops out mid-slide, too much and the car wallows, so drop height and travel are set together rather than treated as separate adjustments. The result is a chassis that holds its line through a high-speed turn instead of demanding constant correction, which is what lets a driver commit to an angle and stay there rather than chase the car back underneath them. It is a kit built for cars that will see repeated, hard slide entries rather than the occasional spirited back road.

Fitment for the Volkswagen T-ROC (2017-2026)

This kit is built for the Volkswagen T-ROC 4WD, chassis code VO59-C, across the 2017-2026 production run, specifically the φ55 rear multi-link suspension version. Because this variant of the T-ROC comes from the factory with electronic adaptive damping, this SKU includes the cancellation kit required to disable that system so the car runs on the coilover’s mechanical damping alone. Confirm your T-ROC uses the φ55 rear multi-link setup before ordering, as other rear suspension variants are not compatible with this kit.

Configure your Drift Spec kit for the T-ROC’s exact rear suspension and damping setup below.

This suspension is designed for Drift race especially. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowing the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.
