XYZ Racing Top Sport Coilovers — Volkswagen T-ROC 4WD φ55 (Rear Multi-Link Suspension) (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2017-2026

The T-Roc 4WD’s factory-fit electronic damping control has to be switched out before a mechanical coilover can do its job, which is why this Top Sport kit for the Volkswagen T-Roc 4WD (2017-2026) comes with the cancellation kit built in rather than sold as an afterthought. Get that swap right and the 55mm-strut kit takes over full control of ride and body movement, front and rear, on a chassis that runs multi-link rear suspension rather than the torsion-beam setup found on the front-drive T-Roc.

For a car that splits its time between the school run and the odd track day, that matters. The 4WD T-Roc carries more mass over the rear axle than its FWD sibling, and a mechanical coilover that isn’t fighting an adaptive damper underneath it lets you set damping and ride height to match how the car is actually driven, rather than a compromise dialled in by VW’s software for everyday comfort.

What this coilover does for your 2017-2026 Volkswagen T-Roc

Once the cancellation kit is fitted and the Top Sport unit is doing the damping, body control through direction changes tightens up noticeably – less of the float you get from the standard adaptive setup, more resistance to the nose-dive and squat that comes with the T-Roc’s raised ride height. Height-adjustable coilover mounting also lets you drop the centre of gravity, which the 4WD’s extra driveline mass makes worthwhile on a car that otherwise sits taller than a typical hot hatch. Damping firmed up 30-50% over street settings, or roughly 2kg/mm more spring rate, keeps the tyre loaded through a bumpy apex instead of skipping across it, and that translates directly into more usable traction when you’re pushing the four-wheel-drive system through a corner rather than just in a straight line.

About the Top Sport coilover

Top Sport is XYZ Racing’s track-day-and-back setting, built around damping and spring rates stepped up from XYZ’s street-focused kits without going full race-only. The uneven-surface absorption is the point: rather than transmitting every ridge and pothole straight into the chassis, the increased damping and spring rate let the strut soak up a rough surface and settle the body quickly afterwards, which keeps the contact patch working instead of skittering. That control comes directly from XYZ Racing’s own track-day experience, tuned to suit aggressive driving without turning the car into something you dread commuting in.

Fitment for the Volkswagen T-Roc (2017-2026)

This kit is built for the Volkswagen T-Roc 4WD with 55mm strut diameter and multi-link rear suspension, chassis code VO59-C, covering 2017 to 2026 production. It includes the electronic-damping cancellation kit required on cars fitted with VW’s adaptive damper control from the factory – confirm your T-Roc is the 4WD variant with electronic damping before ordering, as the FWD torsion-beam car uses a different kit.
