XYZ Racing Pro Rally Coilovers — Volkswagen GOLF MK6 φ50 (Modified Rear Integrated) (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2008-2012

A Mk6 Golf built for stages rather than school runs needs its rear end treated as a structural project, not a bolt-on. This Pro Rally kit is built specifically around that reality: a φ50-strut coilover matched to a car whose rear mounting has already been modified and integrated into the shell, with the factory’s Dynamic Chassis Control electronics taken out of the loop entirely.

If your Mk6 still runs the adaptive DCC dampers from the factory, they will fight a manual coilover install every time – the ECU expects to see its own damper signal and will throw faults or default to a safe (soft) map. The cancellation kit bundled with this coilover removes that conflict, so the car runs on the coilover’s own damping curve, full stop.

What this coilover brings to your 2008-2012 Volkswagen GOLF MK6

Once the rear is integrated to the modified subframe mounting and the DCC signal is cancelled, you get a rear axle that responds to spring rate and damper setting alone, not to a computer guessing at road surface. On loose gravel that means predictable weight transfer under trail braking and less unwanted correction from the electronics mid-corner. The coilover’s damping and ride height adjustment let you set the Mk6 up for the compression a rally stage throws at it – big hits over crests, sustained mid-corner load on tarmac sections – without the factory system trying to soften things at the wrong moment. For a car already committed to competition use, that’s the difference between a suspension that works with the driver and one that’s still partly working for the road.

About the Pro Rally coilover

XYZ Racing splits its rally-spec suspension into two build types. The amateur-type kit installs straight onto the original chassis mounting points, which suits a car kept closer to standard. The professional-type kit – the one specified here – is designed to go in after the rear end has been modified and integrated into the body, which is exactly what a Mk6 built for top-flight rally competition needs: mounting points strong enough and located correctly for repeated hard landings rather than compromised by stock geometry. The φ50 strut body gives the extra material needed to survive that loading over a season of gravel and snow stages, and the electronic-damping cancellation kit is supplied specifically so the coilover’s own valving is what governs the car, not a factory algorithm never designed for competition surfaces.

Fitment for the Volkswagen GOLF MK6 (2008-2012)

This kit is specified for the Volkswagen Golf Mk6, chassis code VO17-A-C, built between 2008 and 2012, in the modified rear-integrated configuration with DCC electronic damping cancellation. It is not intended for standard, non-modified rear ends – confirm your car has already had the rear mounting integrated before ordering this variant.

1. Be installed directly with the original chassis. (Amateur type)
2. Be installed after modifying the car body. (Professional type)
