XYZ Racing Pro Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Toyota CELICA ST205 GT4 4WD (Fr Welding) 1993-1999

The Celica ST205 GT4’s front strut towers were never designed with aftermarket coilovers in mind – most kits for this WRC homologation special need a welded reinforcement plate at the top mount before the strut goes in, and that’s exactly what the "Fr Welding" spec on this fitment covers. XYZ Racing’s Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover is built around that reality, pairing a reinforced front top mount with a damping platform tuned for holding a controlled slide rather than just carrying grip through a corner.

Toyota’s permanent four-wheel-drive layout and viscous centre diff put more mass over the nose than a front-drive Celica ever carried, and that changes how the car wants to rotate the moment you provoke it. This kit’s job is to keep the body settled through that transition instead of fighting it.

What this coilover does for your 1993-1999 Toyota Celica ST205 GT4 4WD (Fr Welding)

With the front top mounts welded and reinforced, the strut can take the sustained lateral loading that comes with holding a drift angle rather than cracking under it partway through a season. Three external adjustment knobs let you separate the low-speed circuits front to rear, so the rear can be softened to encourage weight transfer into a slide while the front stays controlled enough to catch it again. Lowering the ride height on this kit happens through genuine bump-stroke adjustment rather than just winding down the spring perch, so you keep usable travel instead of running out of shock partway through a lock. On a car that already carries its turbo and 4WD hardware up front, that adds up to a Celica that rotates on command instead of pushing wide the moment you lift off.

About the Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover

XYZ Racing built the Pro Racing Drift Spec line around drift-style loading rather than adapting a road kit to suit. The valving is tuned to keep the chassis stable through fast, high-angle direction changes, holding the body flat enough that you can place the car at the angle you’re after instead of fighting it back underneath you. Each corner runs three external adjustment knobs feeding small-bore oil passages, which gives a wide spread of low-speed damping control front and rear. Because those passages are narrow, you may hear a faint noise from the shock when the car crosses sharp bumps or kerbs – that’s the oil moving through the small orifice doing its job, not a fault, and it’s a known characteristic on the circuit surfaces this kit is built around. Ride height comes down through real bump-stroke adjustment, so the geometry and available travel stay usable once your stance is set.

Fitment for the Toyota Celica ST205 GT4 4WD (Fr Welding) (1993-1999)

This kit is specified for the Toyota Celica ST205 GT4, chassis code TO22, across the full 1993 to 1999 production run of the permanent 4WD, turbocharged homologation model. The Fr Welding designation means the front strut top mounts need a welded reinforcement plate as part of installation, so factor that into your fitting time before booking the car in.

This suspension is especially designed for Drift racing purpose. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowering the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
