XYZ Racing Pro Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Subaru IMPREZA WRX/ WRX STI AWD 4WD 2015-2021

Competitive drifting in an all-wheel-drive platform like the Impreza WRX STI means managing a fight the rear-drive crowd never has to think about: the front axle pulling for grip the instant you get back on the throttle, while the car’s AWD centre differential tries to decide where that power actually goes mid-slide. The Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover is built around that specific problem, not around a generic lower-and-stiffer spec sheet.

Sold as a matched set for the SU12-chassis WRX/ WRX STI (2015-2021), it drops the ride height, firms the platform, and gives you the adjustment range to hold a controlled angle through a corner rather than fighting the car back onto line. This is a coilover for drivers running the car in competition, not for a fast-road commute.

What this coilover does for your 2015-2021 Subaru Impreza WRX/ WRX STI AWD 4WD

Lowering the ride height on the correct bump stroke settings keeps the body flatter as weight transfers under trail-braking into a drift entry, which matters more on an AWD car because the STI’s mass is already fighting to load the front outside corner rather than the rear. The three adjustment knobs give you the range to soften the front axle enough to let the nose rotate into the corner while keeping the rear firm enough to hold the angle once you’re sideways. Because the kit is set up around how an AWD car actually transfers power through its centre differential mid-slide, you get a platform that stays predictable when you’re modulating throttle and brake at the same time – which is the whole skill of drifting an Impreza rather than a rear-drive coupe.

About the Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover

XYZ Racing designed the Pro Racing Drift Spec line specifically for drift competition rather than adapting a track-day coilover to the job. The core aim is stabilising the car’s body through high-speed direction changes so you can hold a clean, consistent angle instead of the car snapping or wallowing mid-slide – and with the ride height set correctly against the available bump stroke, that stability shows up immediately in how controllable the car feels once it steps out. The kit uses three adjustment knobs built around a small-oil-hole damper design, letting you tune damping to how a drift car loads and unloads through a corner. That small-passage design can produce a faint noise when the damper cycles hard over big bumps – that’s the oil moving through the restricted passage as intended, not a fault, and it’s a non-issue on the circuit surfaces this coilover is built for.

Fitment for the Subaru Impreza WRX/ WRX STI AWD 4WD (2015-2021)

This kit is built for the SU12-chassis Impreza WRX and WRX STI, AWD 4WD, covering the 2015 to 2021 model years. It’s specced around the standard AWD drivetrain layout for this generation, so confirm your build year falls inside that window before ordering.

This suspension is especially designed for Drift racing purpose. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowering the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
