XYZ Racing Circuit Master Coilovers — Seat ALTEA 5P 4WD φ50 2004-2015

The Altea 5P’s 4WD layout adds a driveshaft and centre differential to a chassis that already carries its engine well forward of the front axle, and that extra hardware under the nose only sharpens the understeer most owners already fight through a fast B-road or a track’s slower corners. The Circuit Master coilover is built for exactly this kind of correction: sustained circuit lap-time work where the suspension has to hold its geometry through repeated hard loading, not just cope with one enthusiastic drive.

For the 5P 4WD specifically, that means a damper that keeps the front end planted under trail-braking and resists the nose-dive that a nose-heavy 4WD platform is prone to, while giving the rear enough control to stop the car wallowing when the diff is transferring torque mid-corner.

What this coilover does for your 2004-2015 Seat Altea 5P 4WD Φ50

Fitted to a 2004-2015 Altea 5P 4WD, this kit lets you drop ride height and firm up the spring rate without turning the car into something unusable on the road to the circuit. The monotube-style construction referenced in the Circuit Master’s design keeps damping force consistent as oil temperature rises across a longer session, which matters on a chassis carrying the added rotating mass of a 4WD drivetrain. With 9720 documented damping combinations across the three external adjustment knobs, you can set the front stiffer to fight the Altea’s inherent nose weight and independently soften or firm the rear to balance corner-exit traction – rather than accepting a single compromise setting. The practical result on this car: less front-end push turning in, a rear axle that stays composed under power, and a ride height low enough to sharpen the visual and dynamic stance without bottoming out on UK B-roads.

About the Circuit Master coilover

XYZ Racing built the Circuit Master as the top-spec option in its range, sitting above the Racing Spec and Drift Spec lines and aimed squarely at drivers doing repeated laps rather than the occasional trackday. It’s the design XYZ’s own teams have run and refined across international circuit racing, and that competition use is where the 9720-way adjustment figure comes from – three external knobs controlling compression and rebound independently enough to dial the car in for a specific track rather than a generic setting. The small-passage oil design inside those knobs can produce a faint noise over sharp kerbs or track bumps; that’s a function of the fine metering needed for that adjustment range, not a fault, and it has no bearing on how the damper performs. Construction is aimed squarely at circuit use, where consistent damping across a full session matters more than showroom quietness.

Fitment for the Seat Altea 5P (2004-2015)

This kit is built for the Seat Altea 5P, chassis code SE02, across the 2004-2015 production run, specifically for the 4WD Φ50 configuration. Confirm your Altea is the 5P generation and the 4WD variant with 50mm strut diameter before ordering, since Seat sold the Altea across multiple body and drivetrain configurations over this period.
