XYZ Racing Pro Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Nissan PULSAR N14 GTIR 4WD 1990-1995

The Pulsar GTIR’s party trick is also its problem child: a 227bhp SR20DET pushing through a four-wheel-drive system that was built for WRC-spec traction, not lurid angle. Getting a GTIR to break traction and hold it predictably means fighting the chassis’ natural instinct to grip and go straight. The XYZ Racing Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover is built around that exact conflict.

Rather than treating slip angle as something to eliminate, this kit is tuned to help the rear end step out cleanly and stay controllable once it does, while the front end keeps enough composure to catch it. For a GTIR – a car most owners are running as a road-legal circuit and drift tool rather than a daily – that changes what the platform is actually capable of.

What this coilover does for your 1990-1995 Nissan PULSAR N14 GTIR

Drop the ride height with the correct bump stroke set and the GTIR’s weight transfer during transition becomes far easier to read from the driver’s seat – the car settles onto the outside dampers instead of pitching and searching for grip. The 3-way adjustment knobs let you separate compression and rebound behaviour front to rear, which matters on a 4WD car where the front axle is doing double duty as both steering and drive. Wind the rear off slightly and the GTIR will rotate on throttle lift-off with far less drama than the factory suspension allows, while the front stays planted enough through the transition to keep the nose pointed where you want it. On track or on a drift day, that translates to angle you can hold and adjust mid-slide, rather than angle that either snaps or washes out.

About the Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover

This kit is purpose-designed around drift use rather than adapted from a track-day setup. The internals are calibrated to stabilise the body through high-speed direction changes so the car can be held at a controlled angle rather than fighting to correct it. Once the ride height is lowered with the matched bump stroke, the difference in how the car transitions and holds a slide is immediately noticeable from behind the wheel. The three external adjustment knobs use a small-oil-hole internal design; on rough sections this can produce a faint noise as damper oil passes through the narrower channel, which is a normal characteristic of this valving rather than a fault. The kit is set up with circuit and track surfaces in mind, so bump absorption is tuned for repeated hard use rather than daily-road comfort.

Fitment for the Nissan PULSAR N14 GTIR (1990-1995)

Built specifically for the N14-chassis Pulsar GTIR, chassis code NI22, covering the 1990 to 1995 model years. This is the four-wheel-drive GTIR variant – confirm your Pulsar is the GTIR 4WD model before ordering, as coilover geometry differs from the front-wheel-drive N14 range.

This suspension is especially designed for Drift racing purpose. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowering the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
