XYZ Racing Gravel Rally Coilovers — Infiniti G20 P11 (Rear Bolt Distance φ90) 1998-2002

The G20’s Primera-derived platform puts the bulk of its mass over the front axle, and on a loose gravel stage that nose-heavy, front-wheel-drive layout punishes soft standard dampers the moment the surface turns rutted or washboarded. Under trail-braking into a loose hairpin or hard on the throttle out of one, a stock G20 pitches and squats in ways that eat away at front-end bite exactly when you need it.

The XYZ Racing Gravel Rally coilover is built for that specific fight. It’s a stage-driving setup for the P11 chassis, not a road-going comfort kit, and every part of its spring and damping architecture is aimed at keeping the car composed when the road surface stops being predictable.

What this coilover does for your 1998-2002 Infiniti G20

Fitted to a 1998-2002 G20, the long-stroke damper and matching long spring absorb the sharp, repeated chassis vibration that sandstone, snow-pack and silt throw at the front axle, instead of transmitting every hit straight into the body structure. That extra stroke keeps the front wheels tracking the ground through compressions and crests on a bouncy high-speed stage, where a shorter-travel road coilover would top out or bottom out and skip across the surface. The inverted tube construction is there specifically to keep the damper working consistently as road conditions change mid-stage, rather than degrading as it heats up or loads up with grit. On a front-heavy FWD car like the G20, that stability under load matters most in the moments that decide a stage time: hard braking into a loose corner, and getting the power down cleanly on exit without the front end wandering.

About the Gravel Rally coilover

XYZ Racing developed this damper specifically for rally and rallycross use, where the road surface is the most aggressive of any motorsport discipline the brand builds for. The inverted tube layout is a deliberate response to that variability, giving the damper a design that copes with sand, snow and silt without the performance drop-off a standard tube design would show. Stroke length and spring length are both extended over a road-oriented coilover, so the suspension has the travel to absorb chassis vibration and the hard, repeated impacts of a fast, bouncy gravel road rather than fighting them. That extra travel also matters when cornering loads spike under G-force, letting the damper keep working instead of running out of movement mid-corner. XYZ Racing’s rally team set every spring rate in this range through their own competition testing, so the rates supplied are stage-proven values rather than a generic road-car baseline carried over into a rally application.

Fitment for the Infiniti G20 (1998-2002)

This kit is built specifically for the Infiniti G20 P11, chassis code IN04, covering the 1998 to 2002 model years with the rear bolt distance of φ90. Confirm your car’s rear hub bolt spacing against this φ90 specification before ordering, as later or earlier P11 variants can differ.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. In all racing events, road condition of Rally Cross is the most aggressive one. Hence, it means that the shock absorber is the most important utensil during the Rally gravel competition. We develop inverted tube design to meet each different road condition as sandstone, snow or silt. Long stroke and long spring which enable to absorb chassis vibration, aggressively attack from high speed bouncy road and bear extremely G-force when turning. All spring rate setting are tested by Rally Racing team.
