XYZ Racing Drag Racing Coilovers — BMW 4 SERIES G23 (2WD/4WD) 4/6CYL 2020-2026

Straight-line launches punish a chassis differently to a circuit. The G23 4 Series, whether the 2WD 430i or the xDrive-equipped 440i, carries its weight rearward under hard acceleration, and a coilover tuned for corner-load transfer isn’t set up to manage that shift when the tyre needs maximum bite off the line. The XYZ Racing Drag Racing coilover for the BMW 4 Series G23 is built around that specific problem rather than lap-time handling.

Where a Sport or Track coilover manages roll and dive, this kit is calibrated for load transfer down the car’s length in the first few tenths of a run. On a 4/6-cylinder G23, that means getting the drive wheels loaded and biting before wheelspin burns the run.

What this coilover does for your 2020-2026 Bmw 4 Series

Fitted to a 2020-2026 4 Series G23, the kit lets you bias front-to-rear weight distribution to suit how the car puts power down, whether that’s the 2WD car’s rear-biased setup or the xDrive car’s split-axle demands. That rebalancing is the mechanism behind the reduction in wheel idle time described in XYZ Racing’s own engineering notes for this range – less time with the tyre unloaded and spinning means more of the run spent actually accelerating. The greater compression forced through the rear tyre under launch translates into a more stable car through the first 60 feet, which matters more on a 400m pass than a compliant ride ever will. This is a car set up to leave the line, not to be driven to the shops afterwards.

About the Drag Racing coilover

XYZ Racing’s Drag Racing range is purpose-configured for 0-400m straight-line runs across FWD, RWD and 4WD platforms, which covers both drivetrain variants of the G23. The core engineering idea is deliberately shifting front/rear weight distribution the instant the car is loaded under power, rather than holding a fixed static setup. That shift forces additional compression into the driven tyre’s contact patch, cutting down the idle time where the wheel spins without translating into forward motion. The result is a chassis that stays planted and stable at the top end of a run instead of stepping sideways under full throttle. It’s a setup philosophy borrowed from oval and drag-strip suspension tuning rather than road-circuit coilover design, and it’s why this range exists separately from XYZ’s Sport and Track Day lines.

Fitment for the Bmw 4 Series (2020-2026)

This kit (SKU XYZ-COIL-BM121-DG) is built for the BMW 4 Series G23, chassis code BM121, covering both 2WD and 4WD 4- and 6-cylinder variants across the 2020-2026 model years. Confirm your exact G23 variant and driveline before ordering, since the front/rear weight-bias tuning differs between the 2WD and xDrive cars.

What buyers also search for

  • BMW 4 Series G23 drag racing suspension setup for 0-400m runs
  • BM121 chassis coilovers for straight-line launch control
  • G23 xDrive weight transfer tuning for the strip
  • BMW 4 Series drag coilover kit, 2020-2026 model years

Spec your BM121 exactly as it left the factory, drivetrain included, and configure yours below.

The coilovers are specially designed for 0~400 drag racing such as FWD, RWD or 4WD models. The setting allows vehicle to change the front and rear weight according to the transmission wheel in instant driving, and force the transmission tire having greater compression, which can reduce the idle time of wheel and improve the stability of the vehicle under high speed.
