XYZ Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — BMW 4 SERIES G23 (2WD/4WD) 4/6CYL 2020-2026

The G23 4 Series Convertible carries more weight than the G22 coupe it shares a platform with, most of it sitting high and rearward around the folding roof mechanism, and every extra kilogram there moves against you the moment the rear steps out. A car built to be quiet and composed with the roof down is not naturally suited to holding an angle at speed, which is precisely the gap a drift-specific coilover has to close rather than gloss over.

XYZ Racing’s Drift Spec coilovers cover the G23 across both 2WD and 4WD, 4- and 6-cylinder variants built between 2020 and 2026. This isn’t a fast-road spring-and-damper set repurposed for competition – it’s built around the specific demands of initiating, holding, and correcting a slide, where the priority is keeping the rear axle loaded and the body predictable rather than simply keeping it flat.

What this coilover does for your 2020-2026 Bmw 4 Series G23 (2WD/4WD) 4/6CYL

The core job is body control through the exact moment most drivers lose the plot: weight transfer at the initiation of a slide. By stabilising the car’s body during high-speed direction changes, this setup helps you hold a consistent angle instead of the chassis pitching and rolling its way through the transition and forcing constant correction. On the 4-cylinder G23, that means less nose dive fighting your steering inputs on entry; on the 6-cylinder cars carrying the extra weight of the straight-six up front, it means the front end settles rather than pushing wide mid-slide. Lowering the ride height with the correct bump stroke set for this chassis keeps the roll centre and geometry working in your favour rather than eating into suspension travel at the worst possible moment. xDrive cars won’t drift in quite the same way a rear-drive G23 does, but the same body-stability benefit still pays off in controlled weight transfer through fast direction changes on track.

About the Drift Spec coilover

XYZ Racing designed the Drift Spec range specifically around competitive drifting rather than adapting a track or fast-road platform after the fact. The construction is built to stabilise body movement during high-speed cornering so the car holds a clean, repeatable angle instead of wandering through the slide. Ride height reduction is paired with a bump stroke calibrated for that lowered stance, which is what lets the chassis keep working through full lock and heavy lateral load rather than bottoming out or losing composure. The result is a suspension set tuned to make angle control – the actual skill being judged in competitive drifting – more consistent to execute.

This suspension is designed for Drift race especially. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowing the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.
