XYZ Racing Top Sport Coilovers — BMW 4 SERIES G23 (2WD/4WD) 4/6CYL 2020-2026

The G23 4 Series Convertible carries extra mass over the F33 it replaced, and a fabric roof shell that flexes more under hard cornering loads than the G22 coupe’s fixed structure. The XYZ Racing Top Sport coilover kit for the BMW 4 Series G23 (2WD/4WD, 4/6-cylinder, 2020-2026) raises spring rate and damping force well beyond the factory setting, giving the chassis a firmer base to work from before body movement becomes the limiting factor.

Built for owners who want an occasional track day without giving up a daily commute, the Top Sport spec sits between XYZ Racing’s fast-road and full competition ranges. On a 420i or 430i that means sharper turn-in before the convertible mechanism’s extra kerb weight gets a chance to unsettle the car; on xDrive versions it means keeping the added front-axle weight from washing wide mid-corner.

What this coilover kit does for your 2020-2026 BMW 4 Series G23

Stepping up damping force by roughly 30 to 50 percent over a standard street setting – or adding around 2kg/mm to the spring rate – keeps the tyre’s contact patch pressed into the road through a compression rather than skipping across it. On a car carrying the G23’s extra convertible-specific weight, that means less of the wallow you get from a soft factory spring under hard braking into a hairpin, and a rear end that stays settled when you get back on the throttle out of it. On 4/6-cylinder xDrive cars, the firmer front end resists the nose-dive that comes with more weight over the front axle, sharpening turn-in without the ride turning punishing on the drive home.

About the Top Sport coilover

The Top Sport line is XYZ Racing’s step up from its street-focused kits, built around a damping curve and spring rate roughly 30 to 50 percent firmer than standard road settings, or around 2kg/mm stiffer depending on the corner. That extra control is there to absorb the hit from a poor road surface or a kerbed apex without letting the body kick back, so the tyre keeps its contact with the tarmac rather than skipping over it. The valving comes directly out of XYZ Racing’s own track programme, tuned for aggressive driving and repeated track day sessions rather than a single spirited drive. Ride height and damping are both adjustable, so the same kit can be wound up firmer for a circuit outing and backed off again for the road.

Fitment for the BMW 4 Series G23 (2020-2026)

This kit is built for the G23-chassis 4 Series Convertible, covering both 2WD and xDrive-equipped 4-cylinder and 6-cylinder cars across the 2020-2026 model run. Confirm your car sits within that chassis code and year span before ordering, as the G23’s convertible-specific mounting points differ from the G22 coupe and G26 Gran Coupe.
