XYZ Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — BMW 3 SERIES G20 (2WD/4WD) 4/6 CYL (Modified Rear Integrated) 2018-2026

The G20 3 Series runs BMW’s CLAR-platform multi-link rear axle, and this fitment’s "Modified Rr Integrated" spec means the rear mounting points are already reworked to take hardware beyond the standard OE strut. That matters for drift, where the rear end is asked to hold a locked slip angle through a transition rather than simply resist roll on a quick B-road. XYZ Racing’s Drift Spec coilover for the G20 is built around that specific demand: stabilising the body through fast direction changes so the car settles into an angle instead of snapping past it.

Available across 2WD and 4WD G20s and both four- and six-cylinder variants, the kit drops ride height and reworks the bump stroke so the rear can be provoked and controlled on command. For a chassis that’s already stiff and composed by factory standards, that’s a real shift in what it’s being asked to do.

What this coilover does for your 2018-2026 BMW 3 Series G20

Once fitted, the Drift Spec kit changes how the G20’s rear axle communicates through a slide. Lowering the ride height drops the centre of gravity and tightens weight transfer during transitions, so throttle and countersteer inputs produce a more predictable arc rather than a sudden snap. The reworked bump stroke gives the suspension room to load and unload through a full drift without bottoming out or ballooning the angle, which is the difference between holding a line through a course and correcting constantly. On the 4/6-cylinder, 2WD/4WD G20 platform, that means a rear end that stays settled at the angle you put it at, letting you focus on entry speed and line instead of fighting the chassis back underneath you.

About the Drift Spec coilover

XYZ Racing designed the Drift Spec line specifically around competitive drifting rather than adapting a track-day coilover for sideways use. The valving and construction are set up to keep the body stable through fast, high-angle direction changes, so the car holds its line instead of pitching or rolling out of shape mid-transition. Ride height comes down as standard, and the bump stroke is calculated to match – enough travel to keep the tyre loaded and predictable as the suspension compresses under hard lock, without running out of stroke and upsetting the car mid-slide. The result is a coilover tuned around slip-angle control first, giving G20 drivers a chassis that responds the same way run after run rather than needing to be relearned each session.

Fitment for the BMW 3 Series G20 (2018-2026)

This suspension is designed for Drift race especially. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowing the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.
