XYZ Racing Racing Spec Coilovers — BMW 3 SERIES G20 (2WD/4WD) 4/6 CYL (Modified Rear Integrated) 2018-2026

The G20-generation 3 Series came in lighter and stiffer than the F30 it replaced, with a near-50:50 weight split and a rack that responds quicker than any 3 Series before it. That’s a chassis built to reward a damper tuned specifically for the circuit rather than one that’s been softened for daily comfort, and it’s what the Racing Spec coilover is for. XYZ Racing built this damper around settings pulled from direct participation in WTCC competition, then adapted the tune for the G20’s B48 four-cylinder and B58 six-cylinder cars, covering both rear-wheel-drive and xDrive layouts.

This is a kit aimed at drivers doing serious track and time-attack sessions in a G20 330i, 320i or M340i, where the priority is a fixed, predictable platform under repeated hard braking and direction changes rather than a ride that has to double as a commute. If your G20 already carries aggressive supporting mods – bigger brakes, a stiffer roll bar, wider track – that’s exactly the territory this damper is built to work in.

What this coilover kit does for your 2018-2026 BMW 3 Series G20

Fitted to a G20, the Racing Spec kit locks down the body control that the standard suspension trades away for comfort, cutting the dive under braking and the roll that builds through fast direction changes on a circuit. The fixed, race-derived valving keeps the platform settled through kerb strikes and mid-corner load transfer instead of letting the chassis wallow, which matters on a car whose steering is quick enough to punish a soft rear end. Ride height comes down as part of the setup, lowering the centre of gravity and sharpening turn-in on both the 4-cylinder and 6-cylinder G20 variants. For xDrive cars, the tighter platform also helps put the extra weight of the drivetrain to use through corner exit rather than letting it unsettle the rear.

About the Racing Spec coilover

Racing Spec sits at the top of XYZ Racing’s coilover range and is built purely for track duty rather than mixed road-and-track use. The damping is not a generic track valving – it’s derived from XYZ’s own involvement in WTCC racing, carried over into a shock absorber intended for cars that see repeated circuit sessions rather than the occasional trackday. Where a car’s modifications go beyond what a standard Racing Spec unit is calibrated for – bigger brakes, aero, a heavily built engine – XYZ can build a bespoke shock absorber around that specific setup, working from details on the car’s other upgrades and the circuit it’s run on. That custom-build route exists precisely because a car built to A-class or factory racing spec often needs a damper tune that a catalogue part can’t provide out of the box.

Fitment for the Bmw 3 Series G20 (2018-2026)

This kit is built for the G20-chassis BMW 3 Series (chassis code BM107), covering both rear-wheel-drive and 4WD xDrive cars across 2018-2026, in 4-cylinder and 6-cylinder guise. It uses the modified rear-integrated mounting configuration specific to this fitment listing, so confirm your G20’s rear suspension setup matches before ordering.
