XYZ Racing Drag Racing Coilovers — BMW 3 SERIES E93 M3 (Modified Rear Integrated) (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2007-2011

The E93 M3’s S65 V8 puts 420bhp through the rear axle alone, and the convertible shell carries more weight over that axle than the coupe or saloon ever did. Off the line, that mass wants to sit still while the tyres want to spin – exactly the problem XYZ Racing’s Drag Racing coilover is built to solve.

This is a launch-focused setup, not a circuit or fast-road platform. The Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping variant strips out the factory EDC control loop so the ride height and damping stay fixed at whatever you set them to, which matters when you’re chasing a repeatable 0-400 time rather than adapting to changing corners.

What this coilover does for your 2007-2011 Bmw 3 Series E93 M3

Drop the rear ride height and the coilover shifts static weight onto the rear contact patches the instant you release the clutch or brake-launch off the line. More weight on the driven wheels means more mechanical grip for the S65’s torque to work with, and less time spent with the tyres spinning uselessly before the car hooks up. The fixed damping settings mean that weight transfer happens the same way run after run, so your 60-foot times stop being a guessing game. Because the EDC control unit is cancelled out rather than left fighting the new geometry, there’s no dashboard warning light and no electronic system trying to soften compression back to a road-biased setting mid-launch. On a car this heavy, controlling squat under launch load is most of the battle – this kit is built around that one job.

About the Drag Racing coilover

XYZ Racing built this coilover specifically for 0-400m drag work, and it’s rated for front-, rear- and four-wheel-drive applications rather than tuned as a general-purpose road kit. The core idea is deliberate front-to-rear weight bias: the setup lets you shift static weight toward whichever axle is doing the driving the instant the car is loaded up, so the driven tyres get forced into greater compression against the tarmac. That extra compression is what cuts the idle spin at the start of a run and keeps the car settled at speed instead of hunting for grip. For the RWD E93, that means dialling weight rearward onto the axle carrying the S65’s torque, rather than running a compromise setting that also has to cope with front-end turn-in. It’s a single-purpose tool: built to get a heavy, powerful chassis off the line and stable through the far end of the strip, not to double as a track or road setup.

Fitment for the Bmw 3 Series E93 M3 (2007-2011)

Fits the E93-generation 3 Series M3 (chassis code BM91-C) built between 2007 and 2011, specified here with the electronic damping cancellation kit for cars originally fitted with factory EDC. This listing covers the Modified Rr Integrated rear mounting configuration for this chassis – confirm your car matches that spec before ordering.

The coilovers are specially designed for 0~400 drag racing such as FWD, RWD or 4WD models. The setting allows vehicle to change the front and rear weight according to the transmission wheel in instant driving, and force the transmission tire having greater compression, which can reduce the idle time of wheel and improve the stability of the vehicle under high speed.

Top mounts included with your kit

Every XYZ Racing coilover kit ships with the upper mounts listed below for your exact chassis — no extra parts to source.

Front

  • Hardened rubber top mountHardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.

Rear

  • Aluminium top mountAluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
