XYZ Racing Pro Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — BMW 1 SERIES F21 4/6 CYL (excl. M-Technik. xDrive & EDC) (Modified Rear Integrated) 2011-2026

The F21 1 Series was never sold with a factory drift setup, but strip out the xDrive cars and the EDC-equipped ones and what’s left is exactly the chassis this build style wants: rear-wheel drive, a short wheelbase, and no adaptive damper electronics to fight once you bolt on dedicated hardware. That combination is why the BM97-code F21 has become a regular sight at UK drift days on budgets that wouldn’t stretch to an E46 or an S-chassis.

XYZ Racing’s Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover is built around that use case specifically. It’s not a fast-road kit wearing a drift badge – the valving, the ride height range and the adjustment logic are all set up for sustained angle, repeated transitions and the kind of body control that competitive drifting actually demands.

What this coilover brings to your 2011-2026 Bmw 1 SERIES F21 4/6 CYL (excl. M-Technik. xDrive & EDC) (Modified Rr Integrated)

Drop the ride height correctly and the difference in the F21’s transitions is immediate: less body roll feeding into the rear as you initiate, and a chassis that holds its line through the mid-drift rather than wandering. The coilover is built to stabilise the body under high-speed cornering loads so the car settles into a clean angle instead of fighting the driver for it, which matters as much for consistency lap-to-lap as it does for outright grip. Because it’s calibrated for circuit-track use, kerbs and surface changes that would normally upset a road-biased setup are absorbed without unsettling the rear axle mid-slide. The 4/6-cylinder F21s covered here – with xDrive, M-Technik and EDC variants excluded – all run the same non-adaptive rear architecture, so the kit’s damping range is matched to a known quantity rather than a compromise across multiple drivetrains.

About the Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover

This is a coilover built specifically around drift, not adapted from a circuit-timed track kit. The internal layout uses three adjustment knobs, each metering oil through a small-passage design rather than a single large orifice – a deliberate choice that gives finer control over how the damper responds as the car transitions through a slide. One side effect of that small-hole design is that you may hear some noise through the damper when the car crosses larger bumps or kerbs on track; that’s the oil moving through the restricted passage doing its job, not a fault. With ride height lowered and bump stroke set correctly, the kit is tuned to hold the car’s angle rather than let the chassis pitch and roll fight the driver’s inputs, and because it’s built for circuit tracks specifically, repeated hard use over a session is what it’s designed to take rather than what it merely tolerates.

Fitment for the Bmw 1 SERIES F21 4/6 CYL (excl. M-Technik. xDrive & EDC) (Modified Rr Integrated) (2011-2026)

This kit is specified for the F21-chassis 1 Series, covering both four- and six-cylinder variants from 2011 through to 2026, with the modified rear-integrated setup. It excludes xDrive, M-Technik and EDC-equipped cars, so confirm your F21’s spec sheet against those exclusions before ordering – the non-EDC rear architecture is what this coilover’s damping range is built around.

This suspension is especially designed for Drift racing purpose. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowering the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.

Top mounts included with your kit

Every XYZ Racing coilover kit ships with the upper mounts listed below for your exact chassis — no extra parts to source.

Front

  • Hardened rubber top mountHardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.

Rear

  • Aluminium top mountAluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
