XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow Coilovers — Mazda 323 1994-1998

Loose-surface rallying punishes a damper in ways tarmac never will, and the 1994-1998 Mazda 323 carries the rally lineage to make that punishment its natural habitat. The XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover is built for exactly that brief: gravel stages, snow and rallycross, where wheel travel and oil capacity count for more than outright low-down stiffness.

This is not a fast-road kit pressed into rough-surface duty. It runs longer front and rear travel than XYZ’s circuit dampers, giving the light front-drive 323 a bigger buffer to ride out ruts, crests and compressions without bottoming the shock.

What this coilover does for your 1994-1998 Mazda 323

Fit these to a 1994-1998 Mazda 323 and the first thing you notice is composure over surfaces that would unsettle a road coilover. The extended travel keeps the tyres tracking the ground through gravel washboard and rutted corners, so the front axle keeps biting instead of skipping clear. The enlarged oil and nitrogen gas volume keeps damping consistent deep into a stage, rather than fading as the shock oil heats. Three-way adjustment lets you separate low-speed body control from high-speed bump response, so you can soften off for chewed-up snow and firm up for faster, smoother gravel. The upshot is a 323 you can lean on over the rough, with grip you can actually plan around.

About the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover

The Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover is engineered for rally and rallycross use rather than circuit work. Its defining trait is generous suspension travel at both ends, which builds in a larger buffer to keep the car settled when the surface drops away beneath it. To support that travel under sustained abuse, XYZ has increased the volume of both shock oil and nitrogen gas inside each damper. More fluid and more gas means the shock resists the heat build-up that exhausts oil performance across a long, hard stage, holding its damping instead of going off. The kit uses three adjustment knobs with a small oil-passage design that meters fluid through a narrow port over the biggest impacts. One side effect worth knowing: striking a large bump can produce a faint noise as oil moves through that passage. That is normal for this design and not a fault.

Fitment for the Mazda 323 (1994-1998)

This coilover is cut for the Mazda 323 of the 1994-1998 run, chassis code MA14. The fitment is matched to that generation’s strut and mounting geometry, so confirm your car falls inside the 1994 to 1998 window before ordering. Corner-specific options are set in the configurator below.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. With longer travel for both front and rear, it increases bigger buffer distance to keep the car stable. The most advantages of this product is to extend the amount of suspension oil and nitrogen gas which can increase the stability of the shocks and prevent the shock oil temperature too high from being exhausted after long-term use.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
