XYZ Racing Drag Racing Coilovers — Mazda 323 1994-1998

Plant the throttle in a BA-series Mazda 323 and physics works against you: weight pitches rearward off the front axle at the exact moment the driven wheels need load on them. For a light front-driver like this, the first sixty feet decide the run, and they are won or lost on how much grip the front tyres find as you launch. The XYZ Racing Drag Racing coilover is built to manage that transfer rather than fight it.

This is a dedicated 0 to 400 metre setup, not a fast-road kit pressed into launch duty. Spring rates, valving and ride height are configured to bias load toward the driven wheels off the line, loading the contact patch when it counts and keeping the chassis settled as the car runs through the traps.

What this coilover does for your 1994-1998 Mazda 323

On a light front-drive 323, the gain you feel first is off the line. There is less of the wheelspin idle time that quietly eats a run, because the setup forces greater compression into the driven tyre as the clutch comes up. Height-adjustable perches and corner balancing let you set nose attitude and static load to suit your tyre and the surface you are racing on. As speed climbs toward the lights, the firmer platform keeps the car tracking straight instead of getting nervous near the top end. A street-registered 323 will still drive home afterwards, but the bias here is unapologetically toward the strip.

About the Drag Racing coilover

XYZ Racing builds the Drag Racing series specifically for standing-start acceleration, with configurations spanning front, rear and four-wheel-drive layouts so the weight-transfer behaviour matches where the power actually goes down. The principle is deliberate: under launch, the suspension shifts load relative to the driven axle, forcing the driving tyre into greater compression and a harder-loaded contact patch. That cuts the dead time when a spinning wheel is doing nothing useful, and it holds the car stable as velocity builds across the run. Height-adjustable spring perches let you fine-tune static load and rake to your combination. It is a single-purpose tool, not a do-everything coilover.

Fitment for the Mazda 323 (1994-1998)

This kit is matched to the Mazda 323 of the 1994 to 1998 model years, chassis code MA14. The 323 ran across several body styles and engine options in this window, so confirm your chassis code and build year against the listing before ordering.

Set your launch height and corner weights to suit your tyre and surface, then configure your Mazda 323 Drag Racing coilovers below.

The coilovers are specially designed for 0~400 drag racing such as FWD, RWD or 4WD models. The setting allows vehicle to change the front and rear weight according to the transmission wheel in instant driving, and force the transmission tire having greater compression, which can reduce the idle time of wheel and improve the stability of the vehicle under high speed.
