XYZ Racing Pro Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Honda CIVIC EP2/EP3 2001-2005

The EP3 Civic’s MacPherson front end and torsion-beam rear axle – Honda’s controversial departure from the double-wishbone setup of the earlier EK and EG cars – leave the seventh-generation hatch leaning heavily on its front axle and asking a lot of its rear when you load it up mid-corner. The XYZ Racing Pro Racing Drift Spec coilovers for the Honda Civic EP2/EP3 2001-2005 are built around that behaviour, designed specifically for drift use rather than adapted from a road kit.

This is a competition-focused setup. It is engineered to settle the body during fast directional changes so the chassis holds a clean, predictable angle through high-speed turns, then lets you place the car deliberately instead of riding out whatever the platform decides to do.

What this coilover does for your 2001-2005 Honda Civic EP2/EP3

Lower the EP2/EP3 on these and set the bump stroke correctly, and the gain in body control through hard cornering is immediate – the car stops pitching and squirming and starts responding to inputs as one unit. Three separate adjustment knobs let you tune damping and ride height to the surface and the discipline you are running, so a layout that needs a softer initial stroke gets it without giving up the firmer control you want elsewhere. Drop the centre of gravity and the EP3’s front-led balance becomes far easier to read on turn-in. The result is a Honda Civic EP2/EP3 that telegraphs grip clearly and lets you commit to an angle with confidence.

About the Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover

This is a circuit-track coilover designed expressly for drift racing rather than general road use. The core idea is body stabilisation under high-speed cornering load, which is what keeps the angle consistent and repeatable rather than ragged. Ride height is fully adjustable, and XYZ are explicit that getting the bump stroke right after lowering is what unlocks the control on offer – it is not a fit-and-forget drop. Damping is managed through three adjustment knobs running a small oil-hole design; over large bumps the oil is forced through that narrow passage, which can produce a faint noise. That is normal and expected behaviour, not a fault, and reflects a unit tuned for smooth circuit surfaces where big road imperfections are not a concern.

Fitment for the Honda Civic EP2/EP3 (2001-2005)

This kit is built for the EP2 and EP3 Honda Civic across the 2001 to 2005 model years, covering the seventh-generation three-door hatch. Confirm your chassis code against the EP2/EP3 designation before ordering to be sure of the correct application.

This suspension is especially designed for Drift racing purpose. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowering the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
