XYZ Racing Pro Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Ford MAV 2001-2007

The Ford MAV rides tall and leans hard from the factory – a body-on-frame 4×4 that was never built to hold an angle. The XYZ Racing Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover exists to fix exactly that: it drops the centre of gravity, takes the slack out of the body, and gives the chassis the discipline it needs to be steered on the throttle.

This is a competition-focused setup, built specifically for drift work rather than fast-road comfort. It lowers the FO12 platform with a deliberate bump stroke, so weight transfer stays readable when you pitch the car in and hold the slide.

What this coilover does for your 2001-2007 Ford MAV

On a tall platform like the MAV, the biggest gain is body control. Lowering the ride height pulls the roll centre down and cuts the lean that otherwise unloads the inside tyre mid-corner. The body stays flatter and more settled as you commit to an angle, which keeps the rear predictable instead of wallowing and pitching. With spring and damping working together, initiation is sharper and direction changes hold their line. You feel it most in the moment between entry and the sustained slide, where a stock 4×4 floats and second-guesses the driver.

About the Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover

XYZ Racing built this kit around one job: keeping the car stable through high-speed direction changes so the driver can set and hold a clean angle. It runs three adjustment knobs, giving you separate control over how the suspension responds. The valving uses a small oil-passage design, so over larger bumps the damper oil is forced through that narrow passage and can produce a faint noise – that is normal behaviour of the valving, not a fault. The kit is intended for circuit and track use, where surface bumps are not a concern, and it is set up to be lowered with a proper bump stroke for controlled, repeatable weight transfer.

Fitment for the Ford MAV (2001-2007)

This coilover is matched to the Ford MAV, chassis code FO12, covering the 2001 to 2007 model years. Check your chassis code against the listed fitment before ordering so the spring seats and mounting hardware line up correctly with your car.

This suspension is especially designed for Drift racing purpose. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowering the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
