XYZ Racing Drag Racing Coilovers — BMW 7 SERIES F01/F02 2008-2015

The F01/F02 7 Series carries close to two tonnes on a chassis tuned for autobahn refinement, and that mass is the first thing working against it when the lights go green. The standard comfort-biased springing – soft, long-travel, set up to isolate occupants – lets the nose rise and the rear axle squat unevenly the moment you load it hard. On a luxury saloon that behaviour is invisible; on a strip it costs you the launch.

This XYZ Racing Drag Racing coilover is built for 0-400 metre work, not circuit lapping or fast-road compliance. It sets the F01/F02 up to throw weight rearward onto the driven axle the instant you leave the line, planting the rear tyres so a heavy BMW hooks up rather than spinning away its first sixty feet.

What this coilover does for your 2008-2015 BMW 7 Series F01/F02

Off the line, you feel the rear of the car settle and bite instead of lighting up the tyres, because the kit is sprung and valved to manage the rearward load shift a big-torque 7 Series generates under launch. Tying the squat down keeps the contact patch loaded through the critical first few metres, which is where a two-tonne saloon either gets traction or wastes it. As the car gathers speed the firmer platform also settles the body, so the F01/F02 tracks straighter at the top of the strip where the standard air-sprung setup would float. Ride height comes down to match, giving the long BMW a planted stance rather than its factory cruising rake.

About the Drag Racing coilover

This is a series engineered specifically for straight-line drag use across front-, rear- and four-wheel-drive cars. The defining idea is controlled weight transfer: the setup is configured to bias load front-to-rear according to which axle drives the car, so that under hard acceleration the driven tyres are pressed harder into the surface. That added compression on the driven wheels reduces the idle, spinning moment when the tyre breaks traction off the line, cutting wasted time before the car actually drives forward. The same control over body movement steadies the car as speed builds, holding it stable through the high-speed end of the run. It is a focused tool – the priority is launch traction and straight-line composure, not the ride pliancy or lateral grip a fast-road or circuit kit chases.

Fitment for the BMW 7 Series F01/F02 (2008-2015)

This kit is matched to the F01 short-wheelbase and F02 long-wheelbase 7 Series across the full 2008 to 2015 production run. Confirm your chassis is F01 or F02 and that the build year falls inside that span before configuring. Specify your exact variant in the configurator so the correct rear setup is supplied for your drivetrain.

The coilovers are specially designed for 0~400 drag racing such as FWD, RWD or 4WD models. The setting allows vehicle to change the front and rear weight according to the transmission wheel in instant driving, and force the transmission tire having greater compression, which can reduce the idle time of wheel and improve the stability of the vehicle under high speed.
