XYZ Racing Gravel Rally Coilovers — Toyota CAMRY XV30 (TYPE 2) 2002-2006

The XV30 Camry left the factory as a soft, isolation-first family saloon: long-travel comfort springs, a nose-heavy front-drive layout, and damping tuned to smother potholes rather than control a loaded chassis on a loose surface. The XYZ Racing Gravel Rally coilover exists to rework that brief entirely, turning a comfort-biased Toyota into something that can be pointed at a gravel stage and driven hard.

This is a loose-surface specialist, not a lowering kit. The whole point of the Gravel Rally spec is travel, control and survivability on sandstone, snow and silt, where the damper takes more abuse than almost any other part of a rally car. On the XV30 that matters most at the front axle, where the heavy transverse engine sits over the driven wheels.

What this coilover does for your 2002-2006 Toyota Camry XV30 (type 2)

The long-stroke design keeps the wheels in contact with broken ground that would unload a shorter factory strut, so a front-drive Camry can put power down out of loose corners instead of scrabbling. Long springs and generous travel soak up the repeated high-speed impacts of a bouncy gravel road rather than crashing into the bump stops. The inverted tube layout adds rigidity at the strut, which helps the heavy nose resist deflection under cornering load and gives steering that stays honest when the surface is moving underneath you. Spring rates are set for grip and compliance on gravel, not the firm, flat feel of a tarmac car.

About the Gravel Rally coilover

XYZ Racing built this damper specifically for rally and rallycross, where the road conditions are the most aggressive in motorsport and the shock absorber is the single most worked component on the car. The construction uses an inverted tube design to cope with varied loose surfaces – sandstone, snow and silt – and pairs long stroke with a long spring so the chassis can absorb vibration, attack fast bumpy sections and carry heavy cornering G-force without running out of travel. Every spring rate in the range has been validated by XYZ Racing’s rally team rather than chosen on paper. The result is a coilover engineered around what a gravel stage actually does to a car, not a road kit with extra ride height.

Fitment for the Toyota Camry XV30 (type 2) (2002-2006)

This kit is built for the second-type XV30 Camry, chassis code TO15, covering the 2002 to 2006 model years. It is a direct application for that platform; confirm your exact build year and variant against the chassis code before ordering so the strut and spring lengths match your car.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. In all racing events, road condition of Rally Cross is the most aggressive one. Hence, it means that the shock absorber is the most important utensil during the Rally gravel competition. We develop inverted tube design to meet each different road condition as sandstone, snow or silt. Long stroke and long spring which enable to absorb chassis vibration, aggressively attack from high speed bouncy road and bear extremely G-force when turning. All spring rate setting are tested by Rally Racing team.
