XYZ Racing Gravel Rally Coilovers — Subaru BRZ 2021-2026

Gravel rallying asks for the one thing the road-going BRZ was never set up to give: suspension travel. The second-generation Subaru BRZ (chassis SU24) rides low on a short-stroke, tarmac-biased setup, and that range runs out the instant a stage surface turns to loose sandstone, rutted silt or fresh snow. The XYZ Racing Gravel Rally coilover for the Subaru BRZ rebuilds the car’s vertical movement so the chassis absorbs impacts instead of skating across the top of them.

This is a damper built around a single job: keeping a rear-drive, low-slung boxer car connected to a surface that changes underwheel from one corner to the next. The FA24’s low centre of gravity helps the BRZ stay flat through loose-surface bends, but rear-axle traction is the constant fight on gravel, and that fight is won by a wheel that stays loaded rather than one that bounces light.

What this coilover kit does for your 2021-2026 Subaru BRZ

The long-stroke, long-spring design gives the rear axle the travel it needs to follow ground that the standard 2021-2026 Subaru BRZ suspension would simply unload over, which is what puts usable drive down out of slow gravel corners. The inverted tube construction stiffens the working strut against the side loads of attacking a high-speed, bouncy stage, so steering response stays consistent even as the surface deteriorates. Spring rates are set for loose-surface grip rather than tarmac flatness, so the car breathes with the road instead of fighting it. The result is a BRZ that holds its line over crests and through ruts, with the suspension doing the absorbing so the driver can keep committing.

About the Gravel Rally coilover

The Gravel Rally coilover is developed specifically for rally and rallycross, where the road surface is the most punishing in motorsport and the damper carries more of the result than almost any other component. XYZ Racing uses an inverted tube layout engineered to cope with the full spread of stage conditions, from sandstone and silt to snow. Long stroke and long springs let the unit absorb sustained chassis vibration, take repeated high-speed impacts from a bouncing road, and carry the heavy lateral G-loads that build through a fast gravel corner. Every spring rate in the range has been validated by XYZ Racing’s own rally competition team rather than set on paper. It is a focused, single-purpose build: a loose-surface weapon, not a do-everything fast-road kit.

Fitment for the Subaru BRZ (2021-2026)

This kit is fitted to the second-generation Subaru BRZ, chassis code SU24, covering the 2021 to 2026 model years. The specification matches that platform directly, so confirm your car falls within that chassis and year span before configuring.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. In all racing events, road condition of Rally Cross is the most aggressive one. Hence, it means that the shock absorber is the most important utensil during the Rally gravel competition. We develop inverted tube design to meet each different road condition as sandstone, snow or silt. Long stroke and long spring which enable to absorb chassis vibration, aggressively attack from high speed bouncy road and bear extremely G-force when turning. All spring rate setting are tested by Rally Racing team.

Top mounts included with your kit

Every XYZ Racing coilover kit ships with the upper mounts listed below for your exact chassis — no extra parts to source.

  • Pillow ball + rubber top mountPillow ball + rubberP+Pillow-ball upper with a rubber insert — adds steering precision and camber adjustability while keeping some of the factory mount’s harshness damping.
  • Hardened rubber top mountHardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.
  • Aluminium top mountAluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
