XYZ Racing Racing Spec Coilovers — Subaru BRZ 2021-2026

The second-generation Subaru BRZ makes its lap time in the corners, not on the straights. With modest naturally aspirated output and a low-slung boxer engine keeping the centre of gravity down, the SU24 is grip-limited by design – which means damping and ride height matter far more here than raw power ever will. The XYZ Racing Racing Spec coilover exists for owners who have stopped chasing tenths on the dyno and started chasing them at the apex.

This is the hardcore end of the XYZ Racing range. Where the road-biased kits trade a little control for daily comfort, the Racing Spec is built around serious track and time-attack use, with valving drawn from XYZ’s own competition programme. On a BRZ that already turns in keenly from the factory, it sharpens the platform further still.

What this coilover does for your 2021-2026 Subaru BRZ

Fit the Racing Spec and the BRZ stops leaning on its outside tyre mid-corner. The firmer, competition-derived valving keeps body roll and squat in check, so weight transfers cleanly and predictably as you load the front axle into a turn. The result is a flatter, more planted car that holds its line through long, loaded corners and rewards trail-braking rather than punishing it. Height adjustment lets you drop the centre of gravity and set corner balance for your home circuit, while the stiffer rates keep the contact patch settled over kerbs and through repeated heat cycles. For a chassis this communicative, the payoff is sharper turn-in and a rear axle you can place to the inch.

About the Racing Spec coilover

The Racing Spec sits at the sharp end of XYZ Racing’s coilover line-up, developed specifically for circuit racing rather than adapted from a road kit. Its damper settings come from direct competition use, including XYZ’s involvement in WTCC-level touring car racing, so the baseline valving is a genuine track tune and not a marketing label. For cars running aggressive modifications – the kind of build that mirrors a factory race car or a national A-class machine – XYZ can produce custom-valved shock absorbers matched to the specific setup. The process is collaborative: you supply the detail on your upgraded components and the circuit you intend to run, and the dampers are built to suit that combination. For a standard or lightly modified BRZ the off-the-shelf Racing Spec is the starting point; for a dedicated track or time-attack car, the custom route opens the door to a bespoke damper package.

Fitment for the Subaru BRZ (2021-2026)

This kit is fitment-specific to the second-generation Subaru BRZ, chassis code SU24, covering the 2021 to 2026 model years. It is designed around the current BRZ’s standard suspension geometry and mounting points. Confirm your model year falls within the 2021-2026 span before configuring.
