XYZ Racing Gravel Rally Coilovers — Maserati MC20 (with hydraulic lift, excl.control system) (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2020-2026

The MC20 was Maserati’s clean-sheet supercar – a carbon-tubbed, mid-engined V6 twin-turbo that had to drag the brand back into a conversation it had been absent from for two decades. Factory damping is electronically controlled and tuned for breadth, which is the right call for a road car but the wrong call when the surface turns loose and the suspension needs travel, compliance and a damper that won’t cook itself fighting a stage.

The XYZ Racing Gravel Rally coilover for the 2020-2026 Maserati MC20 is built for that second job. This is the cancellation-kit variant – it bypasses the factory electronic damper signal so the chassis sees a fully mechanical, externally adjustable damper at each corner, while leaving the hydraulic nose-lift system intact for ground clearance off the trailer.

What this coilover does for your 2020-2026 Maserati MC20

The Gravel Rally tune trades the boulevard pliancy of the factory setup for travel and damping authority. You get longer stroke than a circuit-spec kit, softer initial spring rates calibrated for loose-surface compliance, and damper valving that controls the chassis through compressions, crests and the kind of mid-corner inputs that load a mid-engined car asymmetrically. Adjustable ride height lets you set the MC20 up with proper rally rake, and the corner-balancing-friendly platform means a competent suspension shop can dial in cross-weights against the carbon tub’s geometry. Because the cancellation kit clears the electronic damping ECU error, you avoid the dashboard fault state that a straight swap on this chassis would otherwise trigger.

About the Gravel Rally coilover

The Gravel Rally series is the loose-surface specialist in the XYZ catalogue. Construction is monotube with a separate gas chamber, which keeps damper oil temperatures manageable over repeat stage runs where a twin-tube design would fade. Damping is externally adjustable across a wide click range, so you can shift bias between soft, absorbent gravel compliance and firmer tarmac-section authority within a single event. Spring rates are deliberately lower than the road or circuit kits to let the suspension actually work over rough surfaces, and the increased stroke gives the chassis somewhere to go on big compressions. Pillowball top mounts on the platforms that support them sharpen steering response without the rubber compliance of the factory bushes.

Fitment for the Maserati MC20 (2020-2026)

This kit is built for the MS06-C chassis MC20 across the full 2020-2026 production run, specifically for cars equipped with the factory hydraulic nose-lift system. The included cancellation module clears the electronic damping fault, so there is no warning light or limp behaviour after install. The hydraulic lift system itself is untouched and remains functional.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. In all racing events, road condition of Rally Cross is the most aggressive one. Hence, it means that the shock absorber is the most important utensil during the Rally gravel competition. We develop inverted tube design to meet each different road condition as sandstone, snow or silt. Long stroke and long spring which enable to absorb chassis vibration, aggressively attack from high speed bouncy road and bear extremely G-force when turning. All spring rate setting are tested by Rally Racing team.

Top mounts included with your kit

Every XYZ Racing coilover kit ships with the upper mounts listed below for your exact chassis — no extra parts to source.

  • Aluminium top mountAluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
