XYZ Racing Circuit Master Coilovers — Honda CIVIC EP2/EP3 2001-2005

The EP3 Civic Type R arrived as a factory-built track tool – short wheelbase, torsion-beam rear, a K20A2 that wants 8,000rpm on every corner exit. What it never had from Honda was a damper with enough range to keep the front axle composed once you start stringing flying laps together on R-compounds. That is where the XYZ Racing Circuit Master comes in.

Built for sustained circuit lap-time work, the Circuit Master sits at the top of XYZ’s competitive line alongside the Racing Spec, Drift Spec and Tarmac Rally programmes. It is the damper XYZ themselves race on, and it is engineered to keep an EP2 or EP3 flat, planted and predictable across a full 20-minute session.

What this coilover does for your 2001-2005 Honda Civic EP2/EP3

On the EP3 chassis specifically, the Circuit Master gives you the front-end bite the standard car never had – the torsion beam stops walking under trail braking, and the nose stops scrubbing wide when you load it up through fast right-handers like Paddock Hill or Druids. Three independent adjustment knobs let you separate low-speed body control from high-speed compliance, so kerb strikes at Brands or the chicane at Cadwell do not unsettle the car mid-corner. Across the 9,720 valving combinations you can build a setup that holds tyre temperature into lap 12, then dial it back for the drive home. EP2 owners running the 1.6 i-VTEC get the same chassis benefit without overspringing a lighter front end.

About the Circuit Master coilover

The Circuit Master is XYZ Racing’s premier circuit damper, developed and tested by their own race teams on international circuits over an extended development cycle. The headline number is 9,720 adjustment combinations, delivered through three separate knobs that target distinct phases of damper travel – far more granular than the single-knob 32-click designs that dominate the fast-road market. Construction uses a small-passage oil circuit specifically tuned for track surfaces, which is why XYZ are upfront that the damper can emit a faint hydraulic note over heavy road bumps. That is a deliberate trade – a circuit damper that prioritises controlled fluid movement at race pace over silent compliance on broken B-roads. The Circuit Master is built to win races, and XYZ’s own teams have used it to do exactly that.

Fitment for the Honda CIVIC EP2/EP3 (2001-2005)

Direct fit for the HN20 chassis Civic – both the EP2 1.6 i-VTEC and the EP3 Type R, model years 2001 through 2005. Uses the factory EP3 strut and rear shock locations with no modification required.
