XYZ Racing Gravel Rally Coilovers — Honda ACCORD CV 2018-2026

Stage rallying on a CV-generation Accord is a niche pursuit, and that is precisely why this damper exists. The XYZ Racing Gravel Rally coilover for the Honda Accord CV (2018-2026) is built around an inverted-tube body, long-stroke shaft and long-travel spring set, because a saloon platform pressed into gravel duty needs travel and rebound control that a circuit coilover simply cannot give it.

The CV Accord is long, comparatively heavy and tuned from the factory for motorway composure – useful traits on a transit stage, less so when the surface turns to sandstone or rutted forest gravel. Strip the standard dampers, fit a coilover designed around rebound under repeated big hits, and the chassis stops fighting the surface and starts working with it.

What this coilover does for your 2018-2026 Honda Accord

Gravel-spec damping changes how the Accord deals with surface input at speed. The long stroke keeps the tyre loaded over compressions that would unload a road-biased damper, so traction holds where you would otherwise be skating. The inverted-tube layout puts the larger-diameter section at the top, where the side-loads from a heavy saloon hammering a corner exit are highest, which keeps shaft flex and seal wear in check across a stage.

Spring rates have been validated by rally crews rather than calculated on a spreadsheet, so the car sits with enough ride height to clear ruts and crests without bottoming, and rebounds cleanly off the bump stops instead of pogo-ing into the next compression. Drivers will notice a calmer car under braking on loose surfaces and a more progressive rear on lift, both of which matter far more than outright stiffness on gravel.

About the Gravel Rally coilover

This is XYZ Racing’s dedicated rally and rallycross damper, and the engineering brief is different from anything in the circuit range. The inverted-tube construction is the headline: it inverts the conventional shock layout so the larger tube sits uppermost, increasing rigidity where lateral load is greatest and protecting the shaft from stone-strike damage on the underside.

Stroke length and free spring length are both extended well beyond a road or track coilover, which is what lets the damper soak high-speed bouncy sections and survive the G-force spikes of a hard turn-in on loose surface. XYZ has developed the platform to handle a spread of conditions – dry sandstone, snow, silt – rather than tuning narrowly for one surface. Every spring rate in the catalogue has been signed off by a working rally team, which is the only validation that means anything for a part like this.

Fitment for the Honda Accord (2018-2026)

This kit is built specifically for the tenth-generation Accord on the CV chassis code, covering model years 2018 through 2026. Confirm your chassis code matches before configuring spring rate and ride-height options.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. In all racing events, road condition of Rally Cross is the most aggressive one. Hence, it means that the shock absorber is the most important utensil during the Rally gravel competition. We develop inverted tube design to meet each different road condition as sandstone, snow or silt. Long stroke and long spring which enable to absorb chassis vibration, aggressively attack from high speed bouncy road and bear extremely G-force when turning. All spring rate setting are tested by Rally Racing team.

Top mounts included with your kit

Every XYZ Racing coilover kit ships with the upper mounts listed below for your exact chassis — no extra parts to source.

  • Hardened rubber top mountHardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.
  • OE (factory) mount top mountOE (factory) mountOERetains the OEM (factory) upper mount — preserves the original ride comfort, noise and vibration behaviour for a stock-like feel.
