The Ferrari California’s front-mid V8 layout and aluminium spaceframe give it a balance that punishes a soft damper – body roll arrives quickly under load, and the standard adaptive set-up was built to flatter long-distance GT work, not sustained circuit running. The XYZ Racing Circuit Master coilover rewrites that brief, replacing the factory compromise with a fully adjustable platform built specifically for repeat lap sessions in a chassis that weighs close to 1,800kg.
This is the top of the XYZ Racing tree for circuit work. The Circuit Master sits above the Super Sport in the range and is the kit owners reach for when a California is being used for trackdays, time-attack, or hillclimb running where the damper has to take heat for session after session.
What this coilover does for your 2008-2014 Ferrari California
Drop the California onto Circuit Masters and the first thing that changes is platform stability under braking into a quick corner – the nose stops diving like a road-spec GT and starts loading the front tyres cleanly. Spring rates and ride height are set independently of preload, so you can drop the car for aero and stance without binding the spring. The 9,720 valving permutations across compression and rebound mean the damper can be re-tuned to a fresh tyre, a new circuit, or a wetter ambient temperature without removing the strut from the car. Mid-corner balance shifts from understeer-led to neutral, and lift-throttle response on a trailing brake becomes something you can actually use rather than something you have to manage.
About the Circuit Master coilover
The Circuit Master sits alongside XYZ’s Racing Spec, Drift Spec and Tarmac Rally kits as the brand’s competition-grade family, and it has been tested by XYZ racing teams worldwide on international circuits across long-duration running. The headline number is 9,720 ways of adjustment, delivered through three separate knobs – independent compression and rebound plus a third stage that lets a driver dial response to the corner profile they’re chasing. That third knob uses a small-oil-hole passage design, which is what gives the damper its bandwidth on smooth tarmac. A by-product worth knowing about: over very large impacts the oil moving through the smaller passage can produce a low audible noise. That is intentional behaviour on a circuit-focused damper and not a fault – the kit is built for resurfaced race tarmac, not kerbed broken B-roads.
Fitment for the Ferrari California (2008-2014)
This kit fits the FE04-1 Ferrari California built between 2008 and 2014, and is specified for the variant where both the front and rear top mounts use the 2-hole pattern. Confirm your top-mount hole count before ordering – Ferrari ran more than one top-mount layout across this generation and the hardware is not interchangeable.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
Top mounts included with your kit
Every XYZ Racing coilover kit ships with the upper mounts listed below for your exact chassis — no extra parts to source.
AluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
