XYZ Racing Circuit Master Coilovers — Ferrari 488 GTB (without hydraulic lift system) 2016-2026

The 488 GTB’s twin-turbo F154CB sits behind the driver and ahead of the rear axle, and that mass distribution is the entire conversation when you start talking about circuit-spec damping for a Ferrari. Get it wrong and the car gets nervous on turn-in, washes wide on power, or refuses to take a kerb without unloading the inside rear. The Circuit Master is built for the operator who already knows that and wants a damper system serious enough to chase consistent lap times at Spa, the Nordschleife, Goodwood or any of the European circuits where 488s actually get used.

This is the non-lift chassis specifically – the FE03-1 without the front hydraulic nose-lift hardware – so the front strut packaging is uncomplicated and the Circuit Master can sit where Ferrari originally intended the OE damper to live. That matters for geometry, and it matters for installation.

What this coilover does for your 2016-2026 Ferrari 488 GTB

You get a 488 that finally takes a high-speed corner on a single trajectory instead of the slight mid-corner shimmy the OE setup develops once the tyres are up to temperature. Body control over kerbs sharpens noticeably, which is the change most circuit drivers report first. With the Circuit Master’s 9720 adjustment combinations you can run a softer compression setting for a warm-up session and stiffen the high-speed compression for the qualifying runs without touching ride height or rebound separately. The three-knob layout also means the front and rear axles can be tuned for the 488’s mid-engine balance – a touch more rebound up front to settle the nose under trail braking, a touch less low-speed compression at the rear to let the inside wheel stay loaded through long-radius corners. Small audible note: at very low speeds over big road imperfections the three-knob oil passage design can produce a faint hydraulic noise. It is a circuit damper behaving like a circuit damper.

About the Circuit Master coilover

The Circuit Master is XYZ Racing’s top-tier competition damper, sitting alongside the Racing Spec, Drift Spec and Tarmac Rally builds in the brand’s motorsport line. It is the platform XYZ teams run in international circuit racing series, and the spec has been validated across long-distance testing rather than catalogue-bench cycles. The headline number is 9720 distinct adjustment combinations, delivered through three independent knobs – separate low-speed compression, high-speed compression and rebound – which is the level of control a track engineer actually uses across a race weekend as conditions, tyres and fuel load change. The internal architecture uses a small oil-passage design optimised for the high-frequency, high-amplitude inputs you get from circuit kerbing and surface transitions, rather than the broad-range comfort tuning of a road damper. It is built for clean, dry, racing-line surfaces; on broken public roads it will feel exactly like the competition piece it is.

Fitment for the Ferrari 488 GTB (2016-2026)

This kit fits the Ferrari 488 GTB chassis code FE03-1, model years 2016 through 2026, in the non-hydraulic-lift specification. Confirm before ordering that your car does not have Ferrari’s front-axle lift system fitted, as the lifted variant uses different front strut packaging and is not compatible with this part number. Cars with the lift system delete already done are covered by this fitment.
