XYZ Racing Top Sport Coilovers — Chrysler 300C 2011-2026

The second-generation 300C is a 1.9-tonne rear-drive saloon riding on an LX-platform chassis that BMW engineers helped design two decades ago, and the factory damping was tuned for boulevard isolation rather than corner exit. Drop a set of XYZ Racing Top Sport coilovers under a CR03-era 300C – whether it is a 3.6 Pentastar, a 5.7 HEMI, or an SRT8 6.4 – and the body that used to heave and float over mid-corner bumps starts to settle within a single damper stroke.

This is the Top Sport spec in XYZ’s range: a kit set 30-50% stiffer in damping and roughly 2 kg/mm firmer in spring rate than a comfort-biased street coilover, aimed at owners who want a 300C that can actually attack a B-road or a track day without losing the long-distance composure these cars are bought for.

What this coilover does for your 2011-2026 Chrysler 300C

The 300C’s mass sits high and forward, and standard dampers run out of control authority long before the tyres do. The Top Sport’s firmer valving suppresses the secondary body motion that makes a stock 300C wallow through quick direction changes, and the higher spring rate keeps the nose from diving onto the bump stops under hard braking from motorway speeds. Ride height comes down, the visible wheel gap closes, and the centre of gravity drops with it – which on a car this heavy is the single biggest handling gain available. The 36-step damping adjustment lets you wind it back for an unfamiliar surface, then firm it up again for a smooth piece of circuit. Traction over broken tarmac improves because the damper is actually controlling the wheel rather than letting it skip, and that shows up most obviously when you put the throttle down out of a corner in a HEMI car.

About the Top Sport coilover

XYZ developed the Top Sport setting by taking their street base and adding roughly 30-50% to the damping force and around 2 kg/mm to the spring rate, and the brief was specific: the kit has to absorb a real-world impact – a pothole, a kerb, a mid-corner ripple – without transmitting it through the chassis as a shock. The damper is built to compress hard, control the body, and then release the wheel back onto the road quickly so traction is never given up. Construction is full-length adjustable so you can change ride height independently of spring preload, which matters on a 300C because the standard fender-to-tyre gap is large and most owners will want to take it down meaningfully. Every setting on the Top Sport is drawn from XYZ’s own track-day programme rather than being a desk calculation, and the kit is positioned for aggressive road driving and circuit work rather than pure motorsport duty.

Fitment for the Chrysler 300C (2011-2026)

This kit is the CR03 application, covering the second-generation 300/300C from the 2011 model-year refresh through the current production run. It is the correct fitment for the 3.6 V6, 5.7 HEMI, and 6.4 SRT cars on the rear-drive LX platform. AWD variants should be confirmed against the SKU before purchase.
