XYZ Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — BMW X6 G06 4WD (NON AIR STRUT) 2019-2026

Drifting a two-tonne G06 X6 is not the obvious choice, but the chassis has the ingredients – longitudinal six or V8, rear-biased torque split on the xDrive system, and a wheelbase long enough to hold an angle once you commit. The factory steel-spring setup on the non-air-strut cars was tuned for refined SUV touring, not for kicking the rear out under power, and that is exactly the gap the XYZ Racing Drift Spec coilover for the Bmw X6 G06 fills.

This is a purpose-specific kit, not a fast-road compromise pressed into competition use. Drop the ride height, get the bump stroke into the right window for an SUV’s centre of gravity, and the G06 starts behaving like something far smaller and angrier than it has any right to.

What this coilover does for your 2019-2026 Bmw X6

Lower the ride height with the correctly-spec’d bump stroke for the G06’s mass and you stabilise the body during high-speed direction changes, which is where heavy SUVs normally throw away angle. Roll is contained without making the chassis snappy, so initiation stays predictable and the rear stays under your right foot rather than the electronics. Camber gain through compression sharpens turn-in on the front axle – useful on a long-bonneted X6 that otherwise pushes wide off entry. Damping calibrated for drift work also keeps the rear loaded as you transition between opposite-lock corrections, which is the difference between linking a course and bogging mid-entry. Ride height adjustment lets you tune the front-to-rear rake until the X6 will hold an angle on throttle rather than wash out.

About the Drift Spec coilover

The Drift Spec is engineered specifically for competitive drifting, not adapted from a road-going platform. The design priority is body stability under sustained high-speed cornering at angle – the loading case that destroys most coilovers built for grip driving. Spring and damper rates are matched to keep the chassis composed during initiation and transition, while the bump stroke is set up to work with a meaningful drop in ride height rather than against it. Once the geometry is in the right window, the controlling inputs – steering, throttle, handbrake – translate to chassis behaviour with far less of the lag and float that the standard suspension introduces. It is a kit aimed at drivers running the X6 in a discipline its makers never planned for, and the engineering reflects that singular brief.

Fitment for the Bmw X6 (2019-2026)

This kit is for the G06 generation X6 with 4WD running the conventional steel strut setup, not the air-suspension variant. Chassis code BM112, 2019 through 2026 model years. Confirm yours is the non-air-strut car before configuring – the part numbers diverge significantly between the two suspension types.

This suspension is designed for Drift race especially. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowing the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.

Top mounts included with your kit

Every XYZ Racing coilover kit ships with the upper mounts listed below for your exact chassis — no extra parts to source.

  • Aluminium top mountAluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
  • Iron top mountIronIRONIron upper mount — a heavy-duty housing built to take sustained load where a stronger top mount is required.
