XYZ Racing Top Sport Coilovers — BMW X6 G06 4WD (NON AIR STRUT) 2019-2026

The G06 X6 is a 2.2-tonne coupé-SUV that the factory tunes for cosseted motorway miles, not for hustling. On a steel-sprung non-air car, the standard dampers run out of authority the moment you load the chassis into a fast B-road sweeper – the nose dives, the rear squats, and that long wheelbase starts writing cheques the OEM valving can’t cash. The Top Sport coilover is the answer to that specific problem on this specific platform.

XYZ Racing’s Top Sport spec lifts damping by 30-50% over the street setting and runs spring rates roughly 2kg/mm firmer, which is the right side of aggressive for a heavy 4WD coupé that owners actually want to drive properly. The result is a G06 that finally turns in flat, holds a line under throttle, and stops floating over crested roundabouts at speed.

What this coilover does for your 2019-2026 Bmw X6 G06 4WD (NON AIR STRUT)

The stiffer spring and damper package transforms how the X6 carries its mass. Body roll drops noticeably through quick direction changes, which matters on a vehicle this tall and this wide – the chassis stops asking the outside tyre to do all the work and starts loading both contact patches evenly. Brake dive under hard stops is contained, so the front geometry stays where the designers intended it during trail-braking into a corner.

You also get ride-height adjustment, which lets you drop the G06’s slightly tall factory stance to something that suits the body’s coupé lines and tightens up the roll centre at the same time. On road imperfections the higher damping rate stops the secondary float you get with the OEM setup over expansion joints and motorway ruts. Traction on power – particularly out of slow corners in the wet – measurably improves because the rear axle is no longer unloading itself with every weight transfer.

About the Top Sport coilover

Top Sport is XYZ Racing’s road-and-track crossover spec, drawn directly from their racing programme rather than retrofitted from a comfort kit. Damping runs 30 to 50% firmer than the street-oriented Super Sport range, paired with spring rates around 2kg/mm above the street tune. That combination is calibrated to absorb the impact of broken UK tarmac and unsettled cambers while keeping the body composed when you start leaning on it.

The valving is tuned to soak up larger bumps – kerbs, expansion joints, the sort of mid-corner ridge that upsets an underdamped SUV – without transmitting the secondary jolt into the cabin. Tyre traction goes up because the contact patch stays planted rather than skipping. The settings are lifted from XYZ’s circuit programme, which is what separates Top Sport from a generic firmer-spring kit: it has the chassis composure for proper track work and the damping range to stay civilised on the commute.

Fitment for the Bmw X6 G06 (2019-2026)

Built specifically for the G06 chassis (XYZ Racing reference BM112) running the 4WD non-air-strut configuration, covering model years 2019 through 2026. If your X6 left the factory on the optional air suspension you will need a different part – this kit is for the steel-sprung G06 only.
