XYZ Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — BMW 3 SERIES E93 M3 (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2007-2011

The E93 M3 was never the obvious drift chassis – the convertible body adds weight high and aft of the rear axle, the S65 V8 spins to 8,400rpm with a savage top-end that punishes clumsy throttle inputs, and the EDC (Electronic Damping Control) system fights you every time you try to weight-transfer the car deliberately. This is a car that needs to be told who is boss before it will hang sideways with any confidence.

The XYZ Racing Drift Spec coilover for the 2007-2011 E93 M3 is built for that conversation. It ships with the EDC cancellation kit so the factory adaptive dampers are taken out of the equation entirely, replaced with a mechanical setup that responds to your inputs – not the ECU’s interpretation of them.

What this coilover does for your 2007-2011 Bmw 3 Series E93 M3 (cancellation Kit For Electronic Damping)

Out goes EDC’s constant second-guessing and in comes a damper you actually control. The chassis settles on initial turn-in, the rear loads predictably when you lift, and the transition from grip to slip becomes a thing you can feel through your hands and your seat rather than something the ECU decides for you. Ride height drops give the V8 a lower centre of gravity, which matters on a convertible where the missing roof has already raised it.

Bump stroke is tuned to keep the tyre planted through the violent weight-transfers a drift entry demands, so the rear axle stays loaded when you commit. Damping is firm enough to control body roll at extreme slip angles without going so stiff that the car skips over kerbs and patchwork tarmac at the gymkhana paddock.

About the Drift Spec coilover

This is a discipline-specific kit, not a converted track coilover with the rebound wound up. The construction is built around stabilising the body during high-speed cornering at angle – the moment when the rear is well past breakaway and the chassis needs to stay flat enough that the front tyres can still steer the car. Spring rates and damper valving are matched to that loading, with bump stroke sized for the way a drift car uses its suspension travel: hard compression on entry, controlled rebound on exit, no surfing over the bumpstops at full lock.

Ride-height adjustment is generous because drift setup lives or dies on how the car sits relative to the rules and the surface, and the EDC cancellation kit included in this fitment means the OEM electronic damping circuit is properly terminated rather than hacked around. Pair it with a competent diff and the front-rear balance of the E93 starts to make sense in a way the standard car never did.

Fitment for the Bmw 3 Series E93 M3 (cancellation Kit For Electronic Damping) (2007-2011)

This kit is specified for the E93 chassis M3 convertible built from 2007 to 2011, factory code BM69-1-C. The included EDC cancellation kit replaces the electronic damping circuit so the OEM dashboard does not throw a fault when the original adaptive dampers are removed. Confirm your car was fitted with EDC from the factory before ordering this variant.
