MAJOR HOTEL CONTINUES SUPPORT

The prestigious 4 Star Trout Hotel in Cockermouth, on the edge of the Lake District in Cumbria, is continuing its support of the Cockermouth based rally team, RABrallyesport, for the teams first two events in 2011.

Having supported Richard Barnard, in his RDR Motorsport prepared Subaru Impreza WRX, on the 2010 Mull Rally the hotel have extended their  sponsorship of the team for the North West Stages and the Chris Kelly Memorial Rallies in February 2011.

Hotel Director, Sue Eccles, said ‘ With Richard and his team travelling up to the Isle of Mull and back and completing the rally the hotels name was shown off throughout many parts of Scotland. With the events the team have planned for the early part of 2011 the name of the Trout Hotel will be visible through Lancashire, Merseyside and the Isle of Man. This coupled with the local exposure we have gained through this relationship has gone a long way to complementing our marketing activity  bringing the hotel back to and above its pre 2009 floods level of activity.’

As in 2010 the RABrallyesport car will be sporting the name of Cockermouth on its livery to encourage visitors to come to the beautiful market town in the north west of England and enjoy the refurbished shops, restaurants, pubs and cafes which have come about after the flooding in 2009. Co-driving the car will be Richards father, and a member of the Cockermouth Chamber of Trade, Andy Barnard  who will no doubt be ensuring the towns name is not forgotten.
