Having tackled 3 rallies 3 weekends on the trot in February and completed them all the RABrallyesport team of Richard and Andy Barnard will be aiming to achieve the same result but from a tougher challenge in April. The Cockermouth rally crew in their Trout Hotel supported Subaru Impreza, again running with XYZ Auto tarmac rally suspension, will be entering the Legend Fires SMC Stages on the 10th April at Weeton Camp, near Blackpool before travelling further south the following weekend to do 2 rallies in 2 days. On Saturday 16th April the MIRA Test Track near Nuneaton will be the venue for the Horiba D’Isis Stages Rally and then it will be on to the Twyford Stages, near Grantham in Lincolnshire, the very next day.
RDR Motorsport will be looking after the Impreza as usual and overnight servicing facilities have been arranged near Newark should the car require any major work done on it in between the 2 consecutive events on the 16th and 17th. One of the most successful southern based rally drivers from the 70’s and 80’s , Stan Dukes, will open his workshop up to the team to allow the crew every chance of completing their double.
Having scored well on the first two rounds of the ANWCC Stage Rally Championship Richard and Andy will be aiming to contest as many rounds of this championship as Richards work allows in an attempt to finish as high up the final reckonings as possible. The next assault on a number of rounds is likely to be later in the year in July.
