XYZ Racing Circuit Master Coilovers — Volkswagen GOLF MK6 4WD φ55 (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2008-2012

The MK6 Golf 4WD φ55’s Haldex-coupled rear axle and factory Dynamic Chassis Control dampers were built for a car that has to cope with British B-roads and motorway commuting, not a full circuit session. XYZ Racing’s Circuit Master coilover replaces that adaptive hardware outright, and because this car left the factory expecting an electronic damping signal, the kit is paired with XYZ’s cancellation kit so the ECU stops looking for a DCC module that’s no longer there.

This spec is built around sustained circuit lap-time work rather than the occasional trackday squeezed between road use. Where a fast-road setup has to compromise for comfort, the Circuit Master is set up to hold its settings through a full session on a Golf that’s already sending drive to all four corners.

What this coilover does for your 2008-2012 Volkswagen GOLF MK6 4WD φ55 (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping)

Three separate adjustment knobs on the Circuit Master give you 9,720 possible damping combinations, which matters on a 4WD Golf because the front and rear axles load up differently than they would on a front-drive car – the Haldex coupling shifts drive rearward under throttle, and a coilover that lets you separate compression and rebound front-to-rear can be set to control that shift rather than fight it. Dropping the ride height also lowers the centre of gravity on a car that already carries extra hardware over the front axle for the all-wheel-drive system, sharpening turn-in without giving up the mechanical grip that system is there to provide. Because the cancellation kit is built in, the dash stays clean – no DCC warning light nagging you every time you start the car.

About the Circuit Master coilover

XYZ positions the Circuit Master as the track-focused end of its range, sitting alongside its Racing Spec, Drift Spec and Tarmac Rally builds as one of the competition-oriented options rather than a comfort-first product. The line has been run and refined through XYZ’s own racing teams competing internationally, which is where the damping curves and knob layout come from rather than a bench test alone. Each corner gets three adjustment knobs, and because they meter through small-bore oil passages rather than one coarse dial, the combined range works out to 9,720 distinct settings – enough to separate low-speed and high-speed damping properly instead of moving everything together with one turn. That fine metering is also why you may hear a faint noise from the damper over sharp bumps: oil moving through a small passage makes more noise than a wide one, and on this product it’s a normal side effect of the adjustment range, not a fault. It’s a trade XYZ makes deliberately, because the kit is built around circuit-surface inputs rather than pothole absorption.

Fitment for the Volkswagen GOLF MK6 4WD φ55 (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) (2008-2012)

Confirmed for the Volkswagen Golf MK6 4WD φ55 chassis (XYZ reference VO20-C) built between 2008 and 2012. This listing is specifically for cars fitted with factory electronic DCC damping – the cancellation kit is included so the coilover installs without leaving the DCC system hunting for a signal it can no longer receive.
