XYZ Racing Tarmac Rally Coilovers — Toyota SIENNA IV XL40 2020-2026

The fourth-generation Toyota Sienna XL40 was never built to attack a sealed stage. It is a tall, heavy, hybrid-only people-mover with soft, comfort-first damping, and that means body roll, dive under braking and a front end that washes wide the moment you ask it to change direction quickly. The XYZ Racing Tarmac Rally coilover exists to take that long-travel softness and turn it into composure.

This is the rally-derived end of the XYZ Racing range, set up for sealed tarmac stages rather than smooth circuits. On an XL40 it does two jobs at once: it controls the mass of the hybrid driveline over broken surfaces, and it keeps all four tyres loaded when the road stops cooperating. For owners running these vans on fast B-roads or genuine tarmac events, that is the difference between a vehicle that floats and one you can place.

What this coilover does for your 2020-2026 Toyota SIENNA IV XL40

After fitting, the first thing you feel is body control. The Sienna’s nose stops diving into corners, the roll settles, and the AWD hybrids in particular start putting their drive down with far less drama mid-corner. Damping tuned for uneven pavement means the van still absorbs ridges, expansion joints and mid-corner bumps instead of skipping over them, so the tyres stay in contact and traction holds. Ride height drops, which lowers the centre of gravity on a body that badly needs it, and the whole car feels keyed to the road rather than perched on top of it. The payoff is a heavy MPV you can actually carry speed in.

About the Tarmac Rally coilover

The Tarmac Rally coilover is engineered specifically for sealed-stage rally use, where the surface is paved but rarely smooth. Its damping is built to absorb the heavy impacts of broken tarmac, swallowing the jolt from larger bumps so the shock never reaches the body and unsettles the car. By keeping the wheel controlled over those hits, it protects the contact patch and feeds traction back to the tyre exactly when you need it. What XYZ Racing chases here is stability under load and predictable handling when the road is working against you. Every setting in this kit comes out of XYZ Racing’s own Tarmac Rally competition experience, which is where the valving and rates were proven before they reached a road-going catalogue.
